Israel-Hamas War

Have we figured out which side has all the good guys on it yet?

What's that? Neither side is good? Both sides have killed innocent people without a care (one side does it not out of indifference but by intention, the other side does it not out of specific intention supposedly but out of indifference when they have the capability of avoiding it if they wanted to).

People making arguments for which side is just and which side is to blame are on a fool's errand.

The October 7th attack, directed not at a strategic target, instead specifically directed at innocent people. Maybe you call them colonizers, so you consider them fair game. I do not. The goal of the attack was exactly what we are seeing now. It was never looking to reclaim territory, or to improve living conditions, or to have their rights better respected by Israel. It was intended to provoke Israel into an overreaction. It was heinous for the sake of being heinous because that would assure the most aggressive response by Israel.

What Israel is doing is exactly what Hamas wants them to be doing. This is the success Hamas was looking for when they executed a long planned attack on civilians. So forgive me if I'm not outraged on their behalf for getting exactly what they asked for.

There are no good guys here. There is no right side in this.

If you and your family had endured 75 years of colonization, and continued abuse in the biggest ghetto on earth, I'd would listen more intently to exactly what you yourself would consider.

But if you'd like to listen to an American on this matter, consider the admissions of president Harry Truman:

So are you saying:

1) Hamas is a good organization and the right one to govern Gaza?

2) Hamas attacked Israeli civilians on Oct. 7th in an effort to serve their people and improve the lives of Palestinian civilians?

3) The attacks on Oct. 7th were necessary in order for Hamas to fulfill its obligations to the people they represent?

4) Hamas is currently surprised that the attacks on Oct. 7th have led to a response by Israel that is hurting Palestinian civilians?

If you answer to these questions is no, then WTF are we even talking about?

If your answer to these questions is yes, then what the **** are you smoking?

Netanyahu is the one who insisted as much since 2018 by sanctioning the Quatari funding of Hamas.

His goal the entire time, as indicated in the article, was to prevent a two-state resolution by making Hamas' stronger than the opposition Palestinian Authority, who opposed the funding.

This same question can be used to ask about the First Nations indigenous warriors on this continent who fought and killed (also) European settlers (considered civilians).

Do you consider braves to be "fanatics"? Or will you admit that they were correct to fight against their own systematic murder?

I've never been in a prison. Everyone in Palestine was born into one. I generally don't condone violence, but if someone did harm to my family on this scale, and for this long, I don't know what I would do. It probably wouldn't look too good. I find myself reluctant to judge colonized peoples because they are always the ones with a sword resting on their neck.

If you do not consider this to be fascism, then tell me why every Palestinian born in Gaza and the West Bank has to register under a number with the Israeli government. Tell me why soldiers can go into any home and terrorize any family with impunity. Tell me why one of the most advanced militaries in the world cannot act with precision in this matter.

4) Hamas is currently surprised that the attacks on Oct. 7th have led to a response by Israel that is hurting Palestinian civilians?
After 75 years, they are not surprised. You are asking these questions as if all things are equal on both sides. They have not been equal since 1948. It is a line of questioning that is intellectually dishonest.

If your answer to these questions is yes, then what the **** are you smoking?
When you read history, you don't have to smoke anything. Your mind gets blown every time you open a book.

You answered none of the questions.

I'm done.

That's ok. You didn't even address President Truman, who facilitated Churchill in giving Palestine to the Zionists.

If you don't recognize colonialism by brutal regimes, what point could you possibly be trying to make anyway? "Everyone is bad"?

I don't accept homework in the middle of a discussion. I spend enough time doing this type of **** on the internet that I don't need reading assignments. If that disqualifies me from having a discussion with you then that's great.

I asked: Are you saying Hamas is a good organization and the right one to be leading Gaza? You responded: Netanyahu forced Hamas on Gaza.

Hamas can be good and the right leadership for Gaza regardless of the sidetrack you tried to throw at the question. The question was about your opinion of Hamas and you dodged because you don't want to answer the question about what YOU think. Then you accuse me of intellectual dishonesty? I stopped reading your response right there (okay I peaked at the rest of them and saw the same dodge and weave on all of them).

The question was about your opinion of Hamas
Yes, I know. It's disingenuous clown fodder that I would expect from a troll like Chewie.

Beginning with October 7 is the dodge and weave. 100%. Why? Because it ignores 100 years of context to pretend that Hamas started this in October.

History and context for current events is perhaps not where you should spend yourself if you don't like reading assignments.
