What's new

It's More Than Us Jazz Fanz that Want Neto Now!

I like Neto, I like Burke, but I don't really know how I feel about either of them as players in the NBA.

Playing a player out of position is easily more detrimental to their confidence. At this stage, the only thing SG about Exum is his height. While I don't think Exum would be ready to start on day one, I think he'd be ready to at least give us what Burke gave us last year by Jan. 1. Exum is the far better prospect, and ****ing up or altering his development trajectory just because we have Trey Burke on roster is insane. The cost to get Dante was too great.

If you are saying don't play him out of position out of fear for what it could do to his confidence it's equally as harmful to play him at all if he isn't ready.

Therefore sitting Dante isn't altering his trajectory in favor of Trey. Not being ready to play at that level is doing that to Exum.

Thanks you.

This is my worry too. Watching Exum play off ball with Australia vs him playing point with Australia has me even more convinced that Exum is a PG.

Someone else pointed out that if you played Burke and Exum together you'd have a problem at both positions. Instead, if you played Exum and Burks together you're creating mismatch problems with the opposing team.

To me the solution is very simple.

We could have had MCW if it wasn't for Corbin.

No thanks

But where will it be by the end of the season?
Good question.

I will predict that it week be the same..... sadly.

(Burke, neto, exum)

He's not a two guard. Please stop.

If Exum was only 6'2" would you still think that he's primarily a two-guard?

Absolutely. I think he has more point guard attributes than Burks does, but that doesn't make him a point. Because a player can handle and pass doesn't make them a point guard.

I'm a bit confused about why Neto isn't coming over. I know there are strategies with regard to contracts and playing time, etc. But, there's willingness on his end, he has established rapport with some of our players, and we have a clear need for creative players. I think the pros of bringing him over now seem to outweigh the cons. But, I suppose another year overseas can't hurt too much.

Anyway, I still laugh at the jazzfanzers who think this is a major issue. Neto is a 8th or 9th guy at best.
