What's new

It's the most wonderful time of the year (first game of the year!). Hou @ Jazz Game 1 of many.

That's crazy talk. Utah is pretty and peaceful and safe for kids. I'm pretty sure most players value that kinda stuff more than warm weather/winning situation/nightlife, etc..
You forgot to mention fry sauce

Cy you are overreacting (again)

Sjf was simply saying that he believes it's very important for trey to play well for this team.
Do you disagree?

No, he was saying Burke played exceptionally bad (or bad) as if it was a factor of his fault entirely, him just not playing well. It was a factor of the offense not being able to run well because they were presented with an entirely new challenge they have not seen before. A PG can't make plays if the offense isn't running properly. This is probably one of the reason Burks consistently looked like the best player on the team, because the offense was naturally breaking down due to defensive pressure.

Not sure how actually analyzing the problem and not saying "OMG THAT PLAYER PALYED BAD SO WE LOST" is overreacting. Is asking the question "What led to that player and players playing badly". SJF is just spotting a correlation, I'm finding causation.

You took what he said way different than I did.
Many times he has started that burke is the most important player on the team and that the team goes as burke goes.

I read his post to say that burke played bad (he did) and needs to play better for the jazz to do well.

He agreed with you that the whole team needs to play better too just a couple of posts later.

Yeah because of my post. It's not just playing better or playing worse, it's about why.

You are a hero

Not sure why you called it overreacting since directly after I posted it, he quoted the post saying that I had made a good point.
I agree

I could only catch a few minutes of the game last night.

Looking at the box score this morningI was surprised to see the starter heavy minutes, also surprised that the starters other than favors combined to shoot 20 for 50 and only hit one 3-pt. tough to win like that.

Quin is unbelievably intense during timeouts FYI. Whenever he called a timeout because we were playing badly he just tore into players, Kanter especially and rightfully so.

A young Jerry Sloan? I wonder if he has the same colorful vocabulary that peels the paint off the walls.
