He's a back-up PG. He's like 5'10". He shouldn't be too expensive. Lets see what he gets offered vis a vis Watson. I bet their price range is closer than you think.

He's a defensive liability, but he can get in the lane and isn't afraid to shoot.

Well, lets see. He turns 28 this year. Made $1.8M for the Mavericks last year. I doubt anyone will give him more than a 2 or 3-year deal at $2.25 - $2.6M. Maybe he gets a bunch of offers and ends up with someone's mini mid-level exception. Otherwise, I think two years at $2.5 is probably the over/under.

Watson got the league minimum last year. Will likely not make more than that league minimum.

Well, if that happens, it is probably the most you'd want to pay a journeyman back-up ( *cough* *cough* Raja *cough*).

Well, Bell's was 3yr/9.72M. Over 2 million less. And that the lowest I think Barea will get, 3/12. Could get another year or a few more million.

It's certainly what his agent will be selling. I don't think he's really all that different from Earl Watson, to be honest with you, and Watson's been here AND is cheaper. I'd prefer Watson over Barea.

Most everyone but Shobo is seriously underrating the guy. He singlehandedly took over several games in the playoffs and without him, I don't think the Mavs would've won th title. Expect numbers at least $4 mill / yr and up.
