It’s all about collecting lottery balls- we get a lot more chances added to our total if we get the additional chances of the wolves entering the lottery vs none at all with them out. We should pin as many losses on them that we can.

Oh I agree we want the wolves to lose. But I also want the number pick and jazz losses give us the best chance at that.

Thats my point though, no conflict, just a basic truth that the best chance of getting the first pick is flat in our likely finish scenarios, the only potential downside is our floor. Our ceiling is 100% better served by the TimberPups in the lottery.

Ehhhhhhh, we should still want the loss IMO. Unless the Spurs actually do the Fox deal or the Warriors change their tune about building their team, I dont see the Wolves missing the play in and I also dont see them getting into the top 6.

Why don't you see them getting top 6? They're #7 and one game back of both old LA teams. Don't want it obviously but I'd be surprised if they finish as a playin team at this point, they have been playing a lot better recently

I think we have a more clear figure after the trade deadline. If SA got Fox, GSW, Lavine and the Lakers a big to play with AD the competition will be tough to sneak into the PO. If not, i also think that Minny may be in the PO. I was wrong thinking that they may be implode and miss all. They are really solid right now. Their win tonight against a good Suns team was impressive.

Count me in the WIN column. The Jazz can help the Kings, Spurs, Suns, Mavs, etc more by beating the wolves and losing to everyone else

If the wolves miss the playoffs they will have internal stress from Edwards.

If the wolves pick ended top 3, our franchise would turn around because we would have 2 x top 6 picks. If it didn't, we would still have 2 picks in the lottery in a strong draft.
