It is interesting how much people under-rate the ability to simply put the ball in the hole. Bird was not the most athletic player, but at the end of the game his ability to put the ball in the basket from anywhere on the court trumped literally everything else. This is so basic to the game, but so often fans get caught up in the bright lights and glitter of dunks and flashy moves, when mostly careers are made and championships won by the team that has the most players and best system that can just put the rock in the hole. Basketball is not rocket surgery.

Probably a good move for him. He could have stayed in the NBA, it's not like he didn't have a chance to get another contract, from what I understand. He will get more minutes in Europe and could possibly be back in the NBA at some point if he can get his confidence up and work on expanding his game.

Just another crazy overrated international prospect drafted on potential only about 20 spots to high aka tzikitishwili, korolev, sene, bargnani,milicic, byombo, etc. I think Jazz have couple similar stories waiting to happen.

Locke liked three international prospects, Vesley, Kanter, and Donatas Montijunas. I thought he was highest on Montijunas. I was, still think he can be really good. Wish the jazz had him in this new offense.
