Imagine how shocked JJJ is.This is probably the most shocking (from an out of nowhere aspect) trade we’ve ever made lol.

How are they going to pay Key, Kessler, Lauri, JJJ, Ace, and another top 6 pick though?? Lauri+JJJ will account for nearly $100 mil of the cap.I’m almost positive we’re gonna walk away from this year with a top 6 pick Keyonte Ace Lauri and JJJ that sounds pretty right to me

Sounds like a dude to invest a lot into.they won't play JJJ. he's always hurt anyway so the league won't even look twice.
What if it isn't? Second apron was created specifically to stop teams from giving out overpriced contracts.50 million in 2030 is going to be like 35 million now
Yeah so you pivot when necessary. No good team can be built without the inevitable "it's too expensive now we must make moves" decisionHow are they going to pay Key, Kessler, Lauri, JJJ, Ace, and another top 6 pick though?? Lauri+JJJ will account for nearly $100 mil of the cap.
They would skyrocket straight to 2nd Apron territory.
Whenever you're evaluating the later years of a contract, the thing you really need to keep in mind is that the salary cap is going to be a lot higher then than it is now.He will be owed 50mil a year until 2030 and by no definition is that an "underpay". The likes Watson, Black, Ayo are now all out of the window and we just made an Kess extension really really difficult. And in reality it's really our 2026 first in the deal too cuz acquiring JJJ makes it almost impossible for us to stay in the bottom 8. Memphis will for sure surpass us in the L column now.
...next seasonIMO, JJJ has seemed checked out this year. Hopefully a new team wakes him up.
Not all firsts are created equal. That Suns pick is probably the only really great asset we gave up.Im only upset about Walter. Hendricks was absolute buns.
We traded a 1st rounder to take Walter.
We traded 3 firsts for the Suns picks.
And still gave more draft capital.
That's a lot of firsts for JJJ. We really need to hit on this years pick or we're doomed.
Lmao remind me, were you one of the many on this forum who was repeatedly posting photos of John Collins's crooked finger post-trade as a reason why he was going to flop?We better have a plan to make this dude not a bum who doesn’t rebound and has a ****** attitude and hasn’t figured out how to defend without fouling.
