Jaren Jackson Jr. traded to the Jazz

Most good shot blockers are good rebounders. Very odd.
He is one of those players that will chase a block opportunity where it is not a good decision. Kessler used to do that a bit, but has learned. JJJ is very talented, but seems like he also has low bbiq sometimes and inconsistent effort. Hopefully it is because he was checking out on Memphis, but I do not think this is the case.

In florida at a trade show and freaking out that I am missing all of this live.

My gut reaction:

1. JJJ is a great player who makes us better. Exciting.
2. I REALLY wanted the 2026 pick and I REALLY want us to finally have some luck moving in to the top 3. Anything that puts that in jeopary pisses me off
3. I wish the picks weren't the unprotected picks. 1, sure. 2, maybe. 3? Feels steep. Why not the Lakers picks (meh), a future Jazz pick (betting on ourselves), and the 2nd best pick. It is still 3 picks + two young first rounders. Feels almost the same without giving up so much upside.
4. Walker, Nurk, and JJJ makes no sense. Someone else is going. Adios Nurk or Kessler.
5. Go all in on Giannis! We can still outbid everyone now wrt picks and young players. Walker plus Nurk plus Ace falls short of the salary match but man oh man woukd that be thrilling! I dont think it is even possible financially but it would be so exciting!

As a long term Grizz follower, i think it's a really good trade for the Jazz. Building around Lauri-JJJ-Keyonte is exciting. Getting a top 3 pick this year, get another good player ( unless Kessler become Rudy) and Jazz will be highly competitive. JJJ is a really good player, DPOY level. He did not achieve 100% at the Grizz but this si mostly due to poor Ja management who kill the chemistry in this team.

Not always i can think of a heap of shot blockers who were weak on the boards and vice versa. Rebounding is mostly about strength and desire, shot blocking is about timing and getting up quick.

funny i heard you've led your local region in cockblocking. Apparently your strength and desire is in the toilet, and you have zero chance of getting up quick or slow

Google, my friend, Google.

The Bible does not record Jesus' height, but based on archaeological evidence of 1st-century Judean males, scholars believe he was likely around
5'1" to 5'5" (155-165 cm) tall. As a carpenter (tektōn) working in that region, he would have likely had a muscular build and, while popular depictions show him as tall, historical averages suggest he was of moderate, unremarkable height for his time.
And don't forget he was black. So Jesus was basically Kevin Hart.

Hope we keep Landale... Ingles 2.0 for attitude and fans will love him if he gets court time. Solid in the rotation. Time to cash in on Nurks good play.

I too always thought JJJ was overrated but he always seems to kills the jazz so I'm intrigued.

Fair bit of pressure on the next draft pick, makes or breaks us

Its wild that Keyonte+Kessler is somewhat comparable to young Don+Rudy and we got 2 former All-Stars in their prime to pair with them (one of whom is also former DPOY).

Sure, Kessler to Rudy comp is a stretch but nonetheless. our starting 5 will be awesome.
