I really don't understand the reasoning you're using here. It's certainly not a statistical fluke, so what kind of fluke is it?

The better question is how much more of a positive impact Favors' barely-better-than-awful passing has over Kanter's truly-awful passing, and if that impact justifies inconsistent criticism of the two players.
 
The one silver lining for this lack of effort tonight is that the Jazz should be well rested for the game against Corbin tomorrow.

Not a bad thought. But Favors is better in many areas.
