"Jazz are NOT the team to beat in the West" Doc Rivers

I don't know about a jersey retirement or a statue (though if it's this one, I'm all in), but the Jazz really need a ring of fame for the Ingles and Favors' of the world. Guys who weren't quite HOF caliber players, but meant a ton to the franchise.

Though if they did retire both their numbers, I wouldn't exactly complain.

He’s not HOF????? He needs a statue at minimum... I’m thinking more a full building. When his career is over in 2037 after being the only 12 time mvp the building will already be built. He would have been a 15 time mvp but had to pause his playing career to win the war against the invading aliens that threatened civilian... those green bastards will get jingled too!

Polls, rankings and Doc's opinion means squat, once the playoff starts everyone has the same record. What is irritating is that some people in the media/players/coaches continue to discount even the possibility of the Jazz coming out of the West. There are plenty of teams in the West that can come out of the West. Denver, Lakers, Clippers, Suns, Blazers and the Jazz could win the West. I would say that Utah has just as much chance and even more than most of those teams. I think this Jazz team have refocused and are just tuning out all the negativity and they are playing Jazz basketball again. The Jazz just need to get Bogie and Clarkson right and I think they have a legitimate shot to win the West.

I would think, depending on final longevity and team success, we would really need to see jersey number retirement for Gobert, Mitchell and Ingles. Not sure if anyone else moves the needle enough. Again, depending on longevity and success you could see Favors and Clarkson retired at some point, but they are real long-shots imo.

The Jazz have lost in the 1st round the last two years. I dont know why y'all think people should be bowing down to the Jazz.

Who cares what he says. Can't stand watching the 76ers and listening to ESPN or TNT fall all over him. He's overrated, most coach's would have won a title with that Boston team. Maybe 2 or 3.

Doc Rivers holds an NBA record no other coaches have done in their career.

Lost 3 times in the playoffs after leading 3-1. 1 with Orlando and 2 with the clips. Both teams fired him.

Would be nice if he did it again with the 76ers aha
