So, how does this money help the jazz? Does it just go in the Millers pockets or does this give the jazz more cap space or what?

It doesn't go to the Millers. It goes back into the team is some way. Facility costs like One Love mentioned, paying for workouts/minicamps, etc. Whatever the team needs.

We still going off about DL selling the 2nd rounder? Yeah he can get better there for sure. But hasn’t this been blown a little out of proportion?

I'm not even sure why this is an issue. Trading a pick, which wasn't likely to make the team, for cash that goes back into the basketball operations (the point of the Legacy Trust), seems like a wash to me.
