What's new

Jazz @ Blazers 03/29/13 @ 8 PM MT!!!

You have to ask yourself which you want more. Going to the playoffs this year, and exiting quickly. Possibly bring back
more vets, and there is no chance Corbin is gone. Watching a repeat of this year next year. Or getting the best pick possible this year, along with GS pick. Watching them both play under our Future 5 next year. Then grabbing a top ten pick in a loaded draft to go along with what we already have. Also,
we may see a new coach.

Do you really want to open all your presents the night before Christmas, or wait just a little longer for triple the pleasure?

This post assumes an awful lot. Playoffs or not there are going to be some big roster changes. Also Utah won't fire Corbin, playoffs or not, as it is not their way.

You know I'm no Corbin lover. I'm just not going to assume they will make the changes that I want. Also I want my team to succeed. Down the road and right now.

Even though we have won the last 3 games, have they been entertaining? Have they been inspiring? Do they give you hope for the future?

Personally, the most entertaining part of the season for me, was when big al and Millsap were injured and we got to see Evans, favors, and kanter play.

Watching al beat up bad defenders with his weezy is boring

True dat!!

I was floored to see Favors start the 3rd over Millsap. All year we all have waited for that. If it's just one game, what was the reasoning in that game?

and more importantly it wont work in the playoffs
we will get SWEPT

I can't say it enough, I am so sick of watching the al jefferson slow as cold tar show. If the Jazz resign him next year I will scream. It is time to move on. We will NEVER be more than an 8th seed with him as the focal point. I really hope the FO figures that out like the rest of us.

I am really glad they won this game. I want them to make the playoffs. I don't think it will make a hill of beans different where we pick in the draft so we might as well create some excitment for the future.

Winning and losing is a battle of ideologies and the direction of this team. If you're into feet-dragging, Corbin, and the vets, go ahead and cheer your heart out for wins. Every win is weighted far more heavily for that than losses are in the other direction.

The main reason I don't want the playoffs is I thought we could get Burke with a lotto pick, now losing faith that even the 12th pick will get that done let alone the 14th. As I said yesterday we might as well make the playoffs, and draft our backup pg of the future in the second round. If I recall didn't the jazz draft Stockton with the idea that he'd be the future backup pg, and look how that turned out.

Have they been against playoff teams? No, these wins are masking the problem.

Can't you just go be miserable somewhere else? You have to be a long-time Clutch Fans troll because you're always so down and miserable. Why are you even here or rooting for this team?

Some of us are actually trying to enjoy watching the team we root for.

we are rooting for long term succes.
not rooting for vets.
while kanter favors burks hawyard will shine for other teams in the future and become multiple all stars.

we should do the okc way.
but no we are doing the clippers way.

Or Corbin could just play his best players like the other 29 coaches in the league would. We're not asking much.

Exactly, and there is the problem and why so many of us are so down on the Jazz (well Ty and whoever else is controlling the rotation).
I want the Jazz to win, but if it means taking a step back for a season by playing the younger guys then I can accept that even though, I really don't look at it as as a step back.

The young guys make mistakes, but watching them play is much more entertaining to watch. I love the ball movement and extra passes. The guys cutting to the basket. The DEFENSE! It's just the whole package and it gets me very excited for the future of the Jazz. I like many, want that now and am tired of Alfense.

I'm just not convinced that making the playoffs v. not making the playoffs is going to drastically alter the future of this team. Some of you seem think that if we get the 8 seed then suddenly Ty is back, the FO thinks the plan is working, and Al/Millsap will be back. Whereas if we miss the playoffs then we will get Trey Burke, the FO will suddenly have a grand epiphany and suddenly realize this group of vets can't win, Ty will be fired, and Al/Millsap will be gone.

I just don't see that. Yes they will lose in the first round to the spurs. Yes, their draft pick will be one or two picks lower (15 or 16 v. 14). Will we miss out on the player we want by just one pick? Maybe, and if that's the case then the playoffs are a waste. Last year I understand why the playoffs sucked for most here - we lost the pick and just got swept. But this year I just don't think making the playoffs is a step backwards or going to set this team back for the long term. You can still root to knock the Lakers out of the playoffs and have a long term hope/vision for the team.

Am I ruining your favorite treadmill? I'm sorry.

Word. Denying part of Kobe's legacy is worth it.
