I posted this trade idea about a week ago in a different thread. I still like it. EI has been struggling with injuries since his big contract and a fresh start might serve him well. I think his ability to be a Stretch 4 would be ideal for this team. If Utah included Burke, I would like for Bucks to include Kris Middleton.

if it was Kanter for the first round pick straight up yes. but it's not worth picking up the toxic contract for a late first round pick.

I'd take Henson and the #18 pick for Kanter.

Just silly to take on a long-term salary dump. Just look at the player we got in Booker for $5M/per. Grab a couple of players of that caliber as FA's if Utah decides not to match for Kanter.

None of those options are really that appealing.

Jazz need to hold firm. Young player with potential and/a lottery pick or **** off.

The only way to get the deal you want is the willingness to be the guy to walk away. I'd love for them to move him, but if it's just crap offers, then they're better off having him come off the bench and focus on his role as a 3rd big. Otherwise, he loses his bird rights.

I'd rather they keep him (disgruntled or not) and just keep developing him for 2 more years than give him away. Who knows what can change in that time frame.

Middleton (strait up) or Antentokumnpo (plus a helluva lot more) are the only two deals the Jazz should even consider for the Bucks.

Buy low. Sell high. Not the other way around.

Good post.
I would add jabari in with middleton and giannis though

You must be smoking a "Jeffrey," because Giannis is worth a lot more around the league than Middleton and Kanter, probably combined.

I think he was indicating that the Jazz would have to give up a helluva lot more. Not the way you read it. At least I hope for his sake that is what he meant.

Pros to trading Kanter:
We give more playing time to the deserving Gobert.
We probably get a little worse which helps our draft pick.
We get something in return for a player that doesn't want to be here and doesn't seem to fit into Snyder's style.

Cons:
We might take back salary, which supposedly might gender giving out max money.
Kanter might develope into something because he's 22 and has some skills.
No offers that we are willing to take for him.

I would want more in the deal. Like I said in the other thread, Ily makes $8,000,000 per season. He'd worth around $5,000,000 per season as a packup PF who can stretch the floor. So we would need $$$, another pick or a sweet contract to make that trade.
