What's new

Jazz claim Joe Ingles and Jordan Hamilton off waivers.

Newest Jazzman Jordan Hamilton shot 13 of 24 from the left corner 3 last year and 12 of 28 from the right corner - 25 of 52 from corners
So we need to make sure Hamilton ONLY shoots corner 3's and Burke only shoots in the last 5 mins of each game.

I've been working on my corner 3's the past year.
Seriously.

scouting report on Hamilton while playing with the nuggets, can light it up from 3ville or miss them all.streaky like Foye. Can play defense when he wants ,but usually doesnt.

If he is a foye-like player what a steal. Foye would have been a great piece if used intelligently instead of as a main component of the offense.

Does it rustle anyone's jimmies the Jazz didn't use their 35th overall pick because they didn't want 3 rookies coming into camp, and then brought a bunch of fringe NBA players into camp?

Would any of you have rather had the Jazz take a chance with a Spencer Dinwiddie, Roy Devyn Marble, Jerami Grant, Glenn Robinson III, Nick Johnson, Russ Smith, etc.? I suppose they just didn't want 3 rookie deals up for an extension at the same time, but I thought 2nd rounders' rookie contracts were up sooner than first rounders'.

Not mine.

I want the team to focus on the core and not try to develop 3rd tier players while establishing a legit NBA identity.

It didn't bother me that they didn't want to bring in a 3rd rook... just thought they could get more for the pick. These other guys are young veterans that have shown some potential. I like the additions of both of them... I've seen enough of Felix and Murray so why not add a couple more prospects.

My jimmies remain perfectly smooth

Mine tented out at the thought of the Jazz opening their season tonight.

DL probably wanted to use that 2nd on a "draft and stash" player but there was no one left that was rated highly on their board. Or perhaps they just want to have plenty of ammo to offer in case Philly wants to sell off their roster again.

I think he was in a tough spot... we have prospects at every spot and there is a lot more that goes into the draft and stash than we likely realize. What if the kid doesn't want to be stashed... DL has to consider relationships he has with agents and such. 2nd round picks always seem to lose value on draft night.

I can forgive DL if he doesn't squeeze every piece of value out of every trade. He brought Rudy Gobert into my life... and that means a lot.

And Rodney Hood.
If Burke has a good season we have absolutely NOTHING to complain about right now, except debating whether Toure Murry or Brock Motum would have looked better in a blazer behind the Jazz bench during the game.
