Jazz COULD HAVE gotten Prigioni/Outlaw and a pick.

Per Mark Stein in relation to Kings/Knicks trade that went down today:

Hearing one option for NYK & SAC that collapsed was turning trade into three-way where Utah took on Prigioni/Outlaw to get a pick as well

I would have liked Pablo as a pseudo-vet back-up PG. I guess it would have depended on what Utah had to give up.

Prigioni would be a nice 3rd PG. Can play a little and teach a lot.

Safe bet that DL didn't like one or more of the following; the asset the Jazz would have to give, the player acquired relative to the cap space they would eat or the asset/pick the Jazz would be given to help facilitate the trade.

Basically they've already acquired quite a few 2nd round picks for their cap space this off season and the cap space wasn't worth it to get another.

When you drop 7 million on a car, buying another 2nd round pick for a couple million probably isn't high on your "Things I Should Do" list.

Jazz are right at the salary floor with 13 guaranteed contracts and a possible 14th going to Motum or another camp surprise. They're probably done making moves unless a starter or 6th man is available at the deadline. Utah has quantity, now it's a matter of Lindsey and Snyder assessing quality and potential.
