Jazz could possibly get DWIGHT HOWARD

This trade would make me......

This trade idea was based on the fact that dwight and Redick would have to sign an extension in order for the trade to go down. That is a beast of a lineup if it went down! Jazz would be favorites to win the championship. I guess everyone on this board is satisfied with mediocrity, because that is all the jazz will be unless they make some trades to improve the team.

Dwight wants a championship. Dwight wants out of orlando because he knows orlando does not have the players to compete for a championship. If utah gives him the best chance to win a championship, then he would extend his contract for the jazz to make the trade go down.

This is how it will go down. Orlando will go to Dwight and say "yo d12, jazz just made us an offer for you that we can't refuse! You down for going to da jazz?"

Dwight says "Jazz? dude you crazy!"

Then dwights peeps say "D12, check out the jazz roster bro! You could win a championship with that lineup!"

Dwight says "Let me change into my superman outfit and I will fly to utah tonight!"

Jazz Lineup
Dwight
Jefferson
Hayward
Redick
Dragic

If you think that starting lineup sucks.....then you like to be negative just for the hell of it

Next time you think you have something to say, think about it a little longer and just don't say it.

White Russians and Bitch beers mixed with reading that first post just about caused me to vomit. I imagine the same thing happening if I were sober.

Let me ask this. Is it within the framework of the CBA that such a deal could be made wherein the Magic do extend Howard before he is traded? In other words, if a Millsap, Jefferson, 2013 unprotected Warriors pick for (extended) Howard seemed attractive to them, can that even happen?

I'm not a CBA guy, but I don't see what wouldn't work, in theory .. but I don't see Dwight agreeing to a sign and trade that sends him to Utah.

Exactly. IMO, he's dumb then by at least not considering Utah. The Howard-Favors combo would be Godly, and we'd still have Kanter off the bench. In other words our defense and rebounding would be sick. We'd also still have Burks and Hayward, and Harris for a year who would be better off without Fat Al here. We'd still lack shooters (though Hayward would flourish from the outside I bet) and could improve at the 1 and 3 especially but we'd have a lot of free money come next summer still to get Harden or someone and Howard could bring the best fans in the league the ring they've never gotten.

I don't disagree, but I think Dwight sees market size (endorsements) and the sexy brand of a Lakers (i.e.) as being more important than the roster. Would hope I'm wrong, but I'd say there's little chance of it.

I totally agree. Sadly this is where the NBA is a joke. Dwhine, as he has for the last couple years, is going to hold Orlando hostage to the point where they have a handful of teams at the most to choose from in trading him. A Bynum-Howard deal seems likely imo and if it goes through, will Bynum re-up in Orlando? If not, the Magic will have gotten nothing for Howard and I see that as a major problem with the league and CBA still. I think most fans feel this way and that in turn, many don't care to watch the prima donnas. The league used to be about the game. Now it's about them. Their image. The money. And that's a problem and ironically hurts them in those areas as a result.

Agree. Also, the players talk publicly too much. If they would just go about their bidness through their agents and concentrate on their game .. and STFU about any grievances when a mic is in front of them, it wouldn't be as bad.

Yep. If Stern had any sort of balls, he would fine any players who cross lines. But obviously Billy Hunter or whoever the next head of the player's union is going to be would never agree to such. I still believe firmly that the owners caved and should have held out to get everything done the right way.

It is no secret that orlando will try to trade dwight. It would be hard for the magic to pass up this offer.

Favors+Millsap+Harris+Bell+2013 1st rd pick

For

Howard/JJ Redick

The jazz would still have enough cap space to sign someone like Goran Dragic

Dwight/Kanter
Jefferson/Free agent
Hayward/Carroll
JJ Redick/Burks
Dragic/Watson

The original trade sucks. If Howard would agree to an extension (I know KG did this when he was traded to the Celtics) I would trade both Millsap and Jefferson to get him. I HIGHLY doubt the Magic would do this. The Magic would want multiple picks (two) and a young player (Burks or Kanter).

I would be willing to trade Kanter but they would have to take AJ and the Jazz would swap Harris for Millsap. I would throw in the GS pick and our pick 2014. I believe the Jazz cannot trade their 2013 pick because they traded their 2012 pick to Minnesota.

No way I would trade Favors. I think he has the potential to be almost as good as Howard. He already does somethings better than Howard (FTs, outside shooting).

Personally, I think the idea of the Jazz obtaining Howard is about the same chance someone has of winning the Powerball lottery.
