Jazz Decades NBA Fantasy Draft

I don't know how the hell I'm able to draft someone that could conceivably contribute at this point, but...

With the 8th pick of the 2011 1970's Utah Jazz NBA Draft, NUMBERICA selects...

JOE MERIWEATHER

In one season with the Jazz, he put up 9 ppg, 7 rpg, and 2.2 bpg in only 23 MPG (a per 36 of 13.5 PPG, 10.5 RPG, and 3.3 BPG). Actually fills a position of some need and a role of some need (enforcer off the bench for my big rotation) for me. I am amped I got someone I might be able to use here.

P.S. I am aware this isn't a picture of him playing with the Jazz. I couldn't find any.

With the 1st pick of the worst round in this entire draft, NUMBERICA selects the only guy worth a damn...

AL JEFFERSON

First and foremost, there is no one left on the Jazz in this round that has proven anything. Deron, Millsap, and AK have already been drafted. Hayward and Favors have shown a lot of potential but as a whole almost nothing else. Harris laid bricks like he was paid to (around $9 million). And then a washed up piece of garbage, a chucker, and some hustling scrubs. It might turn into something, but holy crap (choice of words deliberate).

But sure, I'll take the guy that put up 19, 10, and 2. Last year was also his second-highest total point output of his career.

1 - Frazier/Lebron
2 - Miller/Griffith/Korver
3 - Lebron/Miller/Korver
4 - Malone/Jefferson/Duncan/Lebron
5 - Duncan/Jefferson/Meriweather

Fortunately he's coming off the bench and there are lots of other options. And seriously, who the hell else even cracks one of these rotations that's left? Harris. MAYBE.
The 2010's Jazz round is so strong, I'm actually hoping Raja Bell is left when I pick 8th...because I know CJ Miles will likely be long gone. *shaking head* Did Marcus Cousin display any solid towel-waving abilities during his 10 days with the Jazz?

If that's what you're peepin', Price is one of the all-time greats.

i guess you can pick him but you are getting a old guy that was retiring not the Bellamy that is in your description

See thats not what I understood at the start. I thought it was how the player played for that decade not just when he played for the Jazz. The 70's decade Bellamy was a great player. No place in the OP or rules did it say we were only going with Jazz stats for Jazz players drafted. But that we were drafting players for that DECADE, So stats for that entire decade is what count is what I thought.

in case you missed my earlier post - 2011 draft picks are eligible this round even though they haven't played a single game with the jazz i'm making an exception

I say this irrespective of my pick (it would be Jefferson any way you cut it), but that is garbage. What are we supposed to go off of with Burks, and especially Kanter? As if pretending how a player from the 70's would play against modern competition wasn't enough - and that's WITH NBA stats - voters are forced to and/or have the leeway to just pretend how good a player will be?

And WITH respect to my picks, that should mean I can draft Dominique Wilkins and either use his career stats for the decade, or just his namesake.

Or not. Oh well.
