Gervin isnt close to as good as Wade. Height? Most SG's are taller than Wade, yet he is still wipes the floor with all of them. Robinson > Ewing. Moses Malone > Dirk.
 
Also, none of your players are really considered to be defensive greats. Ewing made three 2nd team all defensive teams, thats it. Everyone else on your team has pathetic D
 
And I feel like people are completely ignoring my bench. Which has 3 guys who put up about 20 ppg, and Okur who was about 16 ppg and amazing shooter.

Gervin not close to as good as Wade? Gervin was a long good defensive player. Wade is hammered on for is lack of defense all the time. Gervin shot over 51% for his carrier while putting up 74 40+point games. Gervin averaged 26 PPG on 52% from the floor in the 70's. Wade 25.4 PPG on 48% from the floor. So don't go saying Wade is better than Gervin. Not buying it.

You want to match up a slow footed Center in Malone against a outside shooting PF with a good first step. Yeah have fun with that, Dirk would be get open looks all night long, Malone in no way shape of form is better than Dirk at PF.

I watch Robinson and Ewing go head to head a lot. Untill Duncan came along Ewing dominated most of there matchups. Ewing gets under rated by a lot of people. But I feel that this match up is kinda a wash. But Thomas is still better than CP3 and Anthony over Sloan is not even a contest.

Bench wise I have to give you the edge. But Horny and Green were great players and made an All Star team. And in the guard line I have a big advantage over your team.

I voted for Cryone, but it's pretty damn close. Mostly because I think Moses Malone may be the most underrated player in the history of the game, and because I think the Admiral is a better player than Ewing.
 
Wade was considered a very passive defender until last year. If Dirk is going to be hailed as the great white choke, then Wade is a matador as well. Wade clearly better than Gervin? That's probably a wash if anything.

And while Moses Malone is probably underrated as a player, he wouldn't have a chance defensively against Dirk. That is a nightmare matchup. But I guess that goes both ways. Probably another wash.

I like the overall defensive complexion of Cyrone's team, but I just don't see the chemistry.

I voted Ben for that reason. And I get the feeling people haven't voiced their vote for him for fear of Cyrone getting more disingenuous. But ya gotta love the passion.
 
I'm going to side with Cyrone on this one, I love the idea of having David Robinson and Moses Malone inside. Paul and DWade is a crazy good starting backcourt. A tough **** starting at SF in Sloan ready to frustrate Melo. Good shooters in J.Malone and Memo. Nicely balanced team. Ben10 has got some scary shooting(Dirk, Horny, Melo), but I just like Cyrone's team better overall.
 
K, offensively this is up for debate, but is anyone going to seriously say that Ben10 has better defense? Just curious.
 
I think Ewing is actually the more skilled Center, though Robinson is likely better defensively overall. The weirdest matchup is Dirk v. Moses. Moses is going to go to the foul line a lot (and drip sweat off his chin.....actually, it would be a contest to see who drips more sweat off their chin, Moses or Ewing....definitely, one of the drippiest series). Dirk would get his jump shot off at will. Tough call.

No I don't think anyone would say that my Defense is even close in this (or any matchup for the most part). This is an offense vs defense battle for sure. But With the offensive power I have I think I would still be able to Win alot of games with this team.

I will put Robinson on Dirk then. Problem solved. While Malone might be considered slow footed, Robinson was one of the most athletic/agile 7 footers in the history of the game and would have no problem guarding Dirk.

Malone is a fairly good defender. Ewing would get more looks, but I don't think he would hands down dominate. Robinson is athletic and agile enough to guard Dirk.
 
And Wade made two all NBA defensive 2nd teams in the 00's. He isn't the best defender in the world, but he is a definitely a good one. To say him and Gervin are a wash is laughable. You could say he is a better scorer, but as an overall player, Wade is better.

Give us a list of players that have had "no problem" guarding Dirk. I'll give you my list.

Chris Andersen in the best year of his career (and still gave up 20 PPG).

Well obviously he isn't going to completely hold him to zero points. By no problem I meant he could contest shots, keep up with him speed wise,etc.

I may be wrong, but I don't think Horny ever made an All-star team with the Utah Jazz.
