Ive been to Harry Potter world in Florida but I guess that doesn't help.

I have not watched either of those but I am guessing that you are saying that DL thinks our players will really step up and improve this year when the pressure is on.

Sure. But for the price of Lilliard, I’d rather have someone with a different skill set. For example, Jimmy Butler.

I’m sure DM and DL could coexist. But DM would mesh better with a Butler type.

No I don't think he' already better, but I'll give you the ceiling part.
And the knock on Blazers duo is that they are too small, don't play any defense and kinda step on each others toes on offense.
So subbing Mitch for CJ not gonna make it the best backcourt in the league as they are very similar. It will be too flawed to carry that title. Don't be a silly homer.

Mitchell surpassed CJ in the playoffs this year. He can do more offensively and is a much better defender. He also rebounds better and passes better. The only thing CJ is better at right now is shooting 3s.

Mitchell also plays defense, neither of those two do. He might be short in height but he actually puts effort in and has a long wingspan. His defense is much better than CJ or Lillard.

His defense is middle of pack, easily the least impactful defender from last season S5. And argument arose from a claim that Lillard/Mitchell would be by far the best backcourt in NBA, which is just silly as there are more talented and much more complete and balanced duos out there than two 6'2 guards.
 
Celtics haven't even called Smart yet... Lol.

Will he be had for a 1 year deal this year? Maybe the minimum? Probably not with Boston.
 
I'm guessing we aren't chasing any more free agents but there are some really good players still floating around. This had been a weird free agency year. Plenty of good rfa and still decent ufa.
