Jazz Get 21st Overall Pick

At 4 he would be a major liability. I dont think anyone thinks he is a 4 other than you.

No, he played on the perimeter next to a big inside all year. He was able to guard and stay with wings on the perimeter. He's listed as a forward all year, and played that position. You're the only one I've heard who thinks he's purely a 5. If not, go find me a link.

College basketball..... I can show you a ton of teams who play 2 5's together. It doesnt make one of them a NBA PF.

I am not the only one you've heard that think he is only a 5. Literately everyone thinks he is only a 5 but you.

Porter is a stretch five if he develops.

I saw some remarks from Musa this week... seems like a well spoken mature kid.

JP does look sort of unhoppy and slow to me too to play the 4.

That's the thing, he's not a great vertical athlete and you don't want him to be your primary interior defender. He's not really a rim protector. He can play some help defense and he'll get a block now and then, but if he's playing as a 5 (the biggest player on the floor), he's really a backup in the NBA. If you draft him, you draft him as a versatile, long-ball shooting and ball-moving, pick-and-pop big because he can do those things.

It's not even close. He is in no way a 4. Not at all. It's not even a question in my mind. Even 10 years ago I'm not sure he is a 4 in the NBA.

NBA Draftroom, Tankathon and nbadraft.net list him as a PF or PF/C. I think he can play as a PF/C and play either role depending on the team. He might be most unique as a stretch-5, but ideally you'd then put him with a rim protector, because he won't anchor a defense. Teams will make him guard in space either way. I think he'll survive it. It's not like he's Frank Kaminsky. And yeah, Markieff isn't more mobile, if we're being honest.

JOkic cant protect teh rim, he still a 5. Just because he cant protect the rim doesnt make him a 4. He isnt a 4. And yes, he is like Frank Kaminksy. He isnt anywhere close to as mobile as Markieff.
