Yeah, but when you don't allow a team easy shots at the rim it makes the open looks they do get a lot harder since they have to expend so much energy to get open looks, not allowing a team to get into a rhythm.

True. But NBA teams should be able to hit >37%. Jazz just have terrible guards and Memphis is missing a couple of key players.
