What's new

Jazz @ Houston Rockettes (6pm MT Time)

Jazz went into Houston and beat them. Go to ESPN's Jazz page and these are the clips on the game in order:

Johnson nails clutch 3-pointer in win
Hayward's perfect pass leads to Gobert dunk
Harden brings out the swat team
Harden drives through traffic for layup
Harden connect with Capela from half court
Harden breezes past Gobert for layup
Harden to Capela is a sweet connection

5-2 in the Houston Hardens favor is progress I guess. No Neto block, Gobert block, Hayward block, Gobert slam...

I'm the same. Hill is so inconsistent in terms of putting pressure on opposition defences. One game he will be in a attack mode, next game he will defer. When Hill is attacking the teams looks amazing but when he defers, so of our possessions become a lot harder to watch. At least with Exum this season he is looking to attack when he is on the floor and whilst some possessions end up getting ugly at least he is trying to penetrate. Compared to Hill who may or may not penetrate depending on what game it is.

Simply put I can live with ugly possessions from Dante but I expect better consistency from Hill.

I suspect the recent occasional inconsistency from Hill is related to his toe. It's probably hard to be as agressive when you're in pain.

Needed rule change...

Harden rule(even though it's a league plague)

If an offensive player impedes into a defensive players set path, arm space, or air trajectory , it is an offensive foul. If that defensive player impedes into the offensive players path it is a defensive foul. If a defensive player is airborne and on a trajectory outside of the offensive players path, he has the right of path, and should only be called a foul if said defender initiates said contact.

Poorly worded and not the definitive solution, but something along these lines.

Sounds like Houston is trying to blame the loss on having no energy from playing the Spurs the night before.

You come off an emotional game like we had a couple of days ago, I just don't want to take anything from [Utah]," coach Mike D'Antoni said. "They played well, they beat us and again, we know what we have to do. We're still in third place and the sun will come up tomorrow and we got to go to Chicago and win. We got to get as many wins as we can.

Beverly's quote made me laugh when asked if they were afraid of Utah:

No, hell no, you see what type of team we got," Beverley said. "We're a badass team, man. Just because we lose two that don't mean nothing. A lot of teams are scared of us and ain't nothing changed with us. We still got the swag and we still got the confidence. Not to sound cocky, teams get afraid when we play them.

I'm pretty sure it was Beverly that Ingles put on his *** at the end of the game - loved it.

As for the blaming it on the Spurs loss I don't think that's an outrageous claim. Jazz loss against the Wolves last week can definitely be attributed in part to the crazy OT loss in OKC.

It happens to every team over the course of a season.

i cant wait for this game to get uploaded so i can watch it

Are you talking about League Pass? For me it was available ~11 PM Eastern. Was glad I avoided seeing the score, although my son had checked it and he was smiling which was a giveaway that Jazz won.

Even simpler, cleaner version.

Fantastic block. Any later and it would have been in the cylinder. Great timing.
