Jazz in the mix to sign Josh Howard

Some of you don't want josh Howard because he's briefly spoke about being a bud smoker? Lol you people label him as a heroin addict. It's for a mle spot.. Sf position and he's a proven slasher/scorer when healthy. And seeing that he's working hard in camp... It's Howard time, baby

It all depends on the price to me. Him smoking has no affect on my opinion about him. His health does though.

maybe the FO is reading Jazzfanz and seeing all the complaints about how they can't land a player like Howard.

I'd be happy with Howard if the money was right. Assuming last year was a fluke and he can still play, he's at least a decent sf.

I'm totally fine just giving Hayward and Burks the minutes too. But if the Jazz have to bring someone in, they could do a whole lot worse than Josh Howard (for proof of this see the news about Tinsley coming to the Jazz).

He has all the tools to be a great player but his basketball IQ and attitude have always held him back.
I can totally see him wanting to sign wherever Nene goes...makes sense. He has the buddy-buddy mentality.
He threw a fit in Dallas after his buddy Devin Harris was traded away. Literally let it affect his on-court play.
The injuries ultimately doomed him. If he's healthy, it's worth a shot...could be a potential steal.
If he's healthy, then there's really no one in the League that can do a better job of keeping JHo straight and out of trouble than Harris, simply because JHo will listen to him.
They do charity events and what not in Dallas together all the time.

Personally, I think any 3 they sign should be a shooter. But when you're only throwing Vet min money around plus maybe a million or two, you can't get too picky. Howard's not a bad option so long as he's cheap.

Little risk potential nice reward if he can revitalize his career. Remember when he went off on us couple years back for his career high, dude was scorching hot that game.

I agree, if the money's right, I say give him a shot. It seems the Jazz are doing what they did after the AK-led year--getting veterans instead of just waiting for draft picks to develop. I think a good team has a nice mixture of young and veteran talent. It's interesting to see what kind of team they're building. Could be completely different by opening day, too. Pretty wild.
