Jazz Locker-room Cleanout & Exit Interviews 2016

should've made vets out of our guys.

hayward and favs are starting their 7th years next season. They are very much considered vets.
alec starting his 6th season.
rudy his 4th.

do we really need the vet?

the youth excuses are going to wear thin when a majority of the key pieces are now going to be 4+ years in. I expect to just get the best talent available to us, period. i dont care if thats through internal growth or through trades, draft, or free agency. if the vet is better for the team, then yes we need the vet.

Now that you've entered the lovely realm of personal insults lets cap this exchange off with another NAOS psychoanalysis. Whatcha got, shrink. Pls share, I love reading them

In all seriousness, though, you have obvious issues with authority. In all my years in academia I learned to spot those students who left as bigger pushovers than they came in. Sad lot. I'm being serious here: you should look into that asap.

DJ & PK (128Am) seemed fairly confident that one of the two trades the Jazz agreed to but never happened was a 1st round pick for Ryan Anderson from NOLA.

Speaking of NOLA, and DJ&PK. PK said that the Jazz should aim for the 5th seed next season because injuries won't be a problem.

Here is a player quote, "The entire team had serious injuries. We will be top 5 in the west next year." from Quincy Pondexter, of NOLA.

hahahahahahaha

Everytime I read a NAOS post, it makes me want to kill myself. How does one have such a pessimistic viewpoint on nearly everything? Inferiority complex? am....am I being trollerino'd?

So.... After listening to interviews... I'm turning into a big believer in Lyles. He comes off as really intelligent and the right amount of funny. Hard worker but it is hard to see because he is so calm and level headed. Really glad we got him.

Ingles is frickin hilarious... I hope he does have it in check though. I think it was an act but sometimes guys like that (I have a bunch of friends like that) they have a rough time figuring out when to be funny and when to be serious and it can be counterproductive. Locke and Dante were so frustrated with him but he just kept going and it was hilarious... The quotes don't do it justice go listen.

Feel bad for Trey Burke... Dude has been class and I am not sure we were really fair with him this year. Had the shortest leash of everyone. It sounds like he's already gone... Made reference to packing up but might have been talking about his locker. He will be successful somewhere. His parents are tool bags but he's had a good attitude we should take it easy on him.

Naos is one of my favs... He's not trolling just being defensive. When folks make declarations that if you are smart you can see this... It's pretty arrogant.

The only FA I recall from last year that I thought could make a real difference for the Jazz was Tobias Harris. For whatever reason, he wasn't terribly in demand by teams. He could have taken minutes from Ingles, Johnson and even Booker and been another double-digit scorer. He's been playing well for Detroit, hitting 3s, making his FTs, and scoring in the teens just about every night.

I'd like the Jazz to keep Booker , he is one of those guys that doesn't need to score to change a game.

Great energy off the bench , he saved so many bad 1st quarters with he's energy.

The guy I'm willing to trade is Favors , I loved him coming out of college , but to me , has a lot of Al Jefferson about himself, nice numbers , will win you a few games, but that's about it , and with Lyles coming on and he's ability to stretch the floor , knock down the 3 and having him and Gobert together makes us a faster unit .

I dunno what the stats say but watching Gobert and Favors together , at times slowed our ball movement and let the defend drop off and clog the lanes for our wings.

Favors+Burke+draft picks , I'd see what we could get , if we have to include Burks to get something nice then I'm all for that as well.

Wow, you are underrating both Favors and Burks. For all that we should get Durant. Favors outplayed both Blake and AD this year head-to-head.

One thing that went unnoticed I think was that Dennis talked about using $28M in cap room... last year or two we have operated at the floor. Wonder if we will spend all the way up to the cap... I doubt we will.
