I got so much **** for saying we should have signed Marco before he signed with the Spurs. I think JFC was 99% against it. (For the historians)
Average offense? What offense? Quin needs to hire a specialist and defer.
It seems that Q's imagination is dependent on gravity guys in a drive-and-kick and PnR heavy flow. Swing swing swing. That can be pretty basketball, but that shoe aint fitting so well in Utah right now.
6.3 million a year isn't overpaying for one of the leagues best 3pt shooters. That will be the equivalent of a 2 or 3 million dollar contract next year. He also is a high IQ player who can pass.
Green may not be the highest IQ, but he can light it up from deep and has no conscious when he shoots, which is what we need.
He's trying to play college ball. It's garbage.
I'm pretty sure the cap is not increasing by 300%.
A 300% increase from 2-3 million would be 8-12 million.
From 2:
100% increase = 4
200% increase = 6
300% increase = 8
Either way, that is not how contracts work. With all the extra money people have been getting, an elite shooting will be getting way more than 6 million in the coming years (or that will be average and not a bad contract). I dont see it as an overpay given the current cap and a very good pay given future cap.
Your finger counting aside, I used your lower figure of 2m, which is 225% increase from 6.5m. Cap is increasing by what? 30%? Your new justification doesn't make sense either. Money gotta come from somewhere. If ~3x salaries are the norm for shooters now, then I expect that other roles will have their salaries cut in a similar proportion?
Edit: fixed %
