Jazz LOVE Patty Mills

It took the Spurs two years to get him to play that well - he is a product of a dedicated organization that knows how to call out a player and help him. Mills is talented alright, but he wasn't focused or in a good enough shape until this season. Sure he had some seemingly breakout games with the Spurs and with the Trail Blazers, but it never materialized into a productive contribution. The Spurs called him out a year ago, and he responded well - they were sure to reap the fruits this season!

He's alright, but I would probably pass on most bench players coming fresh off of playoff hype. Seems like a recipe to overpay. The Jazz should just get Neto over here for the time being.

The Knicks are supposedly high on mills as a starter. San Antonio might let him go and up Cory Joseph.

Mills once played for the Idaho Stampede when he was Portland property. I think he was a 2nd round draft pick if memory serves. I once pimped him on this board when the Jazz were a veteran team and no one seemed to like him. Pop called him a fat a$$ with too much junk in the trunk and I think he lost 30 pounds in the off season. He went to St. Marys like a lot of Aussies and they always seem to win 25 games a year there.

Who wouldn't?

I don't like him as a starter...

But as a ridiculous 6th man? Hell yes.

Eddie House, Jamal Crawford, and Jason Terry all had fine careers as 6th men who would devastate defenses.

Somebody on the radio suggested Miami go after him. Tremendous fit for him. However, how the hell would Miami have any money?

If I were patty I would seriously consider staying. You have a nice role and the Spurs are the best organization in all sports. Stay there and you'll always be relevant and in the playoffs. Losing sucks.

Saint Louis Cardinals are the best in all sports. They have been doing it for DECADES. Spurs might be the top in nba but no way over the Cards in all of sports.LOL

Any player on the Spurs probably understands that they are living in Shangri-La. Only Stephen Jackson and Dennis Rodman were happy to leave the Spurs.
