Jazz Offseason Plan

The Jazz need to add one guy. That's it, just one guy -- a long athletic, two-way wing.

Defensively, the Jazz don't remember what it's like to have a legit help defender and not just Rudy Gobert all on his own.

Offensively, the Jazz don't remember what it's like to have a guy who can drive and finish at the rim without using a screen, in addition to knocking down open shots.

One guy like a Jerami Grant would check both those boxes.

Well there it is. Erring toward continuity. This is why this franchise will NEVER win a final under this guy’s leadership. Good is good enough for Lindsey. No risks. No changes.

Guys, I’ll peace out if this guy is still leading our franchise in a week.

Yeah, fire this ****ing clown. At the end of the day, Quin just didn't have anyone in the bullpen to answer the 5-out lineup and that's first and foremost on the FO running on cruise control.

Erring on the side of continuity sounds like there isn't a clear vision in place.

I'm going to keep posting this...

Even one guy like Jerami Grant checks those boxes and changes the outlook of this team.

If that means taking Mike Conley or Bojan Bogdanovic off the floor to make space for that kind of player, you have to do it.

We had good defenders around Rudy 3 seasons ago and we flamed out in the first round. We replaced defenders with offensive talent and we got regular season better.

We haven't had players who are great at O and D, but we have tried both.

Rubio to Conley
Crowder to Bojan
Exum to Clarkson

The problem is that the most valuable player of that 6 is Crowder if you take into account his health, his contact and his contribution on both sides.

The problem is that the Jazz crapped on Crowder after he was wanting to recruit in the off season. It was all for the greater good of acquiring Conley.

I don't understand what you mean.

I think we could have found a way to include Favors instead of Crowder and we would have won a playoff series or two more had we done that.

Taking into account everything, Clarkson is the most valuable.

If we keep Conley, Clarkson is definitely trade asset #1. If Mr. Glass walks, I think I'd rather trade Bojan.

I don't know. That's tough. Clarkson seems 100% fine just coming off the bench. He's 3 years younger than Bojan, he's signed for longer and for cheaper. Neither play good defense.

Yeah, between Bojan and Clarkson I probably trade Bojan.

If you ask me, Clarkson should stay for anything short of a package for an All-Star. He can be counted on for instant offense no matter what the rest of the team looks like. he also has a good contract. Bojan, on the other hand, needs to get upgraded in the baddest way.

Lakers have said they need shooters
Trade Bojan for their #22 pick?
Can they afford his contract?
