He’s a project. One that if he can makes himself playable has major upside, IMO.

I’d like our projects to have upside. This strategy of taking three years to develop a Niang is not the best.

Watching his G league reel makes me believe that he is really not that far behind in terms of development. Definitely more NBA ready than Oni. Someone look up Brantley/Oni/Hughes/Morgan’s G league numbers for me. I bet it's not as impressive as Bey’s number from last season.

Maybe, but he certainly wouldn’t have the same potential in such a scheme as Bey (the athleticism matters a whole whole lot).

Bey was projected to be a mid first round prospect at some point last year before falling to the Mavs at #37. Morgan was a consensus UDFA before the 2019 draft even started.

Lakers should just tear it all down at this point. They already won the chip. No point of wasting their future for the next 7 or 8 seasons for some championship dream that isn't really there.
