Jazz Offseason Plan

You also have to factor in JC was one of our worst on/off guys this playoff... we were a -16 pts per 100 possessions with him on the court.

The prior year we were -12.6.... so its not like he is a guy that killed it in the playoffs.

And if Donovan being pissed is a factor here, sorry, but an adult needs to step up in the room, show him the data you just said, how it would help, the new projected depth chart, and so forth. He can have a voice but not one not so loud as Lebron’s.

Hah. I had originally typed that up but then decided against it with better judgement. Unfortunately it saved in the box so when I quoted HH it popped up. It was a response to fish's question of "Where did Rudy go?"
It's all good

With that depth, we’d actually be able to load manage AND go for the 1 seed which is almost impossible .
And with Bledsoe it may be that he is slower and a little washed. He will still be playable and solid for 20+ minutes a night. He might also have a revival and be motivated (its essentially a contract year). We have seen it happen with a few players this year. NO is like the worst situation for a player like Bledsoe.

Worst case you picked up useable players and a couple prospects. IF everything falls apart you now have some cap maneuverability with Joe's deal expiring and having cleared both JC and Favs deals... since Bledsoe is essentially expiring. You could open up some cap space if you found a taker for Bojan or Mike's deal.

Hard time believing NOLA would do that.
So do I... but they are doing dumb stuff. If they want to start NAW and Lewis (as was reported) then maybe JC is appealing... and the cap savings this year can be flipped into something that fits better.

They are going to do something dumb (imo) I would like to be the beneficiary if at all possible.

I would not have thought Cleveland would do Exum and some seconds for JC. I also didn't think it would work out this well... that's kinda what I'm attempting to do here. I get that it doesn't likely make sense for NO... neither did getting Bledsoe or Adams last summer.

I would go for:

Bojan, Gasol and #22 to NOLA
Bledsoe and #30 to the Lakers
Kuzma and #10 to Utah

Win, win, win
