Doesn't matter either way. We aren't going to get anything lower than the 5 pick.

Then it would absolutely matter. If we are top 5 the deeper the better.

Did you mean "anything higher than the 5th pick"?

I can think of several million $$$ reasons why he's going to the NBA and not staying at Duke.

Yeah. Jabari sucks. He couldn't even win a national championship as a freshman.

We all know how Stockton and Malone tore it up in the NCAA tournament when they played....

Heck, Lebron James never even played in the tournament he sucked so bad!

Let's hope that other teams have this same attitude so if he declares he falls to us.

Embiid, Wiggins, and Exum depress you? I would be very very pleased with Exum or Wiggins, and happy sad with Embiid because it would mean one of Kanter or Favors would be going.

I really like Embiid, but we don't need him (at least in my mind, as much as we NEED wiggins/parker). I think he'll end up being an upgrade from Favors, Kanter, Gobert. However its not a for sure thing, its more potential, and those dont always pan out. See Marvin Williams. Then there is health issues, maybe nothing but something to factor in. Also I think it takes him at least 3 years to make a big impact in the NBA. Hes a center, and they usually take time to develop. Don't get me wrong I do like him A LOT, but he's not as perfect a fit for this team as Wiggins or Parker. We'd have to do some shifting of the roster, and then wait a little longer for things to pan out.

Exum I really dont know too much about. I havent seen him play full games, and I'm not sure how he fits in with Trey. Is Exum more of a potential guy too? There is a very good chance we end up with him so I better start hoping he is the real deal.

Sexual - just my thoughts on those two guys. Not bad, not perfect fits on paper, but that doesn't mean they couldnt end up being the answer for us.

If he is so good, why couldn't he carry his team? 4-14

I don't know, couldn't you make an even stronger analogous argument about Corbin? But that's neither here nor there. Should he declare, I would hope many GMs drafting before us share your same line of reasoning.

I'd rather re-sign Corbin than draft Parker over Wiggins.
I wouldn't go that far...If Corbin is still coaching the Jazz beyond this season, it's won't matter if we draft the second coming of Michael Jordan, he will always find ways to have the team underperform.

This.

Not to turn this into a bashing Corbin thread, but Cy's post is just too outlandish.

Ty will always believe, and thus convince the Jazz PR apologists that we owe something more to our 1 and 2 year deal rotation players than we do our core and team. He will always argue that some washed up player who is making millions to play basketball and getting more time than on his previous team is somehow deserving of our sympathy, respect, and more minutes, so we can help his career be extended when he ultimately leaves us in free agency for nothing.

^that is far more damaging to our team's future than picking the lesser player of two extremely gifted players.

If we finish 4th worse, I'm very confident we end up with a top three pick. I think only three times has the worst three teams gotten the first three picks.

We are slotted 4 on Fords machine and the outcome was pretty favorable each time I played today( like 72 times). We needs that 4 yo!

It really is insane isnt it?

Well Kansas just won. We have to hope Kansas makes a deep run, and Imbiid gets a chance to play.

Remember just a month ago Imbiid was ranked #1 by a good portion of the draft gurus. Since the injury, Wiggins has seem to have risen, and Imbiid has faded
slightly as the #1 guy. We need Imbiid to get back into that 1 or 2 slot so that Parker can fall to us.

Imbiid could come back in the Sweet 16 and excite people again. That with strong workouts could shoot him back ahead of Parker, and even Wiggins.

I could see the draft playing out like this, and helping our odds of getting Jabari.

1. Wiggins
2. Imbiid
3. Parker

I did a Google search for "Imbiid" and came up with nothing.
