Jazz Pre-Draft Workouts 2015

If we could somehow get Jaiteh at #42, that would be awesome.

I have two guys I really like in that late 1st / early 2nd round range. Mouhammadou Jaiteh and George Lucas De Paula. If be super happy with either of them (and elated if they could get both - which would be my goal.)

Are they both overseas stash players? I doubt we could grab a guy at 12 and have two other rookies as well.

Jaiteh is a bit older and can come over right away. De Paula is 2 years away from being 2 years away. He's a stash in my opinion. Jaiteh originally declared for the 2013 draft and pulled his name out. He had some 1st round projections back then, and I still have a 1st round grade on him now. Jaiteh I would start working with right away.

Another 12 players coming in for a workout tomorrow:

Nice that we got a work out with De Paula. Oubre will be interesting, also Christmas.

Kelly Oubre said he’s studied Jimmy Butler, Kawhi Leonard and James Harden. "I feel like I can be as good as or better than those guys."

Oubre was one of the most confident pre-draft interviews ever.

Kelly Oubre is the nicest cocky guy that's worked out for the Jazz.

Attn: NBA executives, Kelly Oubre just called his shot: "Whoever calls my name on draft night, I’m going to help them win a championship."

...

I'm glad he has the confidence. Just wonder if he has the drive. He's not my first choice, but I wouldn't hate getting Oubre either. He has all the physical tools to be great.

I'm really intrigued by De Paula. So raw, but I love his physical attributes and his footwork. Needs a lot of work on his fundamentals, but could be special down the line.

I like guys who are confident in their own ability. Hope that confidence leads him to working as hard as humanly possible, not towards entitlement.

Work ethic and self-awareness are the biggest difference makers for those type of players. If he has the self-awareness to know he has a ton of work to do in order to get there and if he the drive to put in the work, he can be truly great with his physical attributes and athleticism. If he thinks he's already anywhere in the vicinity of those players he mentioned and doesn't have the urgency to strive toward improving his game, he can very easily bust.

We are guaranteed one of these 12 to be there at #12:

Towns, Okafor, Russell, Porzingis, Mudiay, Hezonja, Winslow, Johnson, WCS, Booker, Turner, Oubre.

The Jazz draft any of those guys and I will be ecstatic.
