Jazz Pushing For Jaylen Brown

Is a rumor that is such a bad idea good enough reason to fire the president of basketball operations? Asking for a friend.

It would probably take more first-round picks than we received for Mitchell or Gobert. I like Jaylen Brown, but I think we should stick with the path we’re on—we want to be bad next season to maximize our 2026 pick and not give it to OKC.

Low-key love what Boston is doing. Get as much value out of the aging nucleus you can and re-tool around JT in 2026-2027.

Key difference is we have the Suns 3031 pick, an elite pick not tied to the performance of the team you are sending an all-star too.

If I had to guess, the Jazz are trying to get Brown for that Suns pick with Collins/Sexton and adding 2-3 other future first and two of the rookie contract pieces we have.

This is exactly how I feel. Brown feels like one of the better names we could hope trading for, but I’d rather go for AJ or Boozer next year

If that’s the trade and we can keep 5, I’d be happy with it. Would still rather tank another year
