You create a new player and go through a little pre draft stuff and get drafted. As you play you earn point to improve aspects of your player. Basically you get to be an NBA player.

Also they added a 'creating a legend' mode where you do the same thing but you take control of an existing player with the goal of making the HOF.
 
Picked up 2k12 and it's the controls are much different than I realized. Trying to get the hang of ball handling and the shooting is WAY different than most any other sport games. EA is all about one button that all depends on how long you hold it down. 2K seems all about options during shot taking.

You still can use one button to shoot but if you use the 'shot stick' you have a lot more control about the type of shot.
 
hey guys,

trying to play online, but got the error that something wrong with my port forwarding...Try to google. Nothing. Wanted to do it by myself but router asks for:
Service Name
Start Port
End Port
Server IP Address

can anyone help me? Thank you

First step turn off your router's firewall and try again. If it works, then you do have a port forwarding problem. If it doesn't work then you have more problems.

Btw do you play online with other Xbox games?

Second of all if your xbox can access the internet I would be surprised a game require more ports to be opened.

Start Port: I wasn't able to find any ports that 2k12 used listed on the interwebs. I'll keep looking, but once we find these, you'll be set.
End Port
Server IP Address: This would be the IP address of your computer, you'll need to set this on your PC statically, otherwise when you reboot it might change.

^So they made Al Jefferson into Paul Millsap? ^. They did do a really good job with AK though. Some players still look like absolute crap though.
 
Amazingly just tried out my xbox for the first time in 2 years (it had stopped working), it actually worked. So the first thing I did was buy 2k12, then I realized I have no controller. Go back to store, guy at desk tells me controllers cost $40 for used wireless. I say to hell with that. Just ordered a new wired controller for 30$, jonesin hard to play.
