Jazz sending a message

I'm swinging from GVC's nuts often, but when a player isn't equipped to handle a certain level of competition/responsibility, you can make the case that overwhelming them can stunt their development.
So on that note, do you think we are stunting Gordon Hayward's development because he obviously cannot handle the tremendous responsibility being placed on him to lead a young team?

Hayward's problems and Kanter's are not at all similar. For starters, I think Hayward is pretty well what he's going to be at this point. Beyond that, Kanter seems to have regressed. His body language sucks, he plays tentative, almost scared, and it's been that way almost all year whether he's played well or not. He looks overwhelmed. Hayward isn't good at shooting off the dribble. Not being a big-time player isn't exactly a detriment, but having shattered confidence can push a player out of the league, especially one with no lift and appears to need every bounce he can get in his step.

I wouldn't say stunting his development, just not using him to his full abilities.

I don't get how people are saying Kanter has regressed he is in his third year and when he get the touches plus the minutes he can easily be a 20 and 10 guy. He just hasn't gotten the minute. I get that his defense isn't great. But, that is what happens when you have Al Jefferson as his mentor since his rookie year.

Have you actually watched him play this year? He looks like Kosta Koufos in his second year.

You don't think those look similar? The beginning of this year throws of the minutes per game stat because Marvin was out of the line up. By the end of the year you will see Kanter have better number on offense in less minutes compared with Favors in his third year. But, I can agree that we are not comparing apples to apples because Kanter is an offensive talent and Favors is greater on the defensive end. But, it shows that each player isn't necessarily regressing they are developing. Without constant minutes like the amount that is thrown at Hayward even if he goes 1-17 are what is need for the whole core across the board.

Kanter has had some recent struggles but he will figure it out. I believe! Favors, Kanter, Gobert, Hayward, Burks, Burke and Neto are the perfect compliments to a superstar.

But the hard truth is the Jazz are considerably better when Marv or Evans plays in contrast to Kanter.

Considerably better? Okay, I will give you that but to what purpose? To win 22 games rather than 18? To get a worse draft spot while potentially doing less to develop the youth? Marv and RJ will not be here in 2 to 3 years and won't be leading us into the playoffs. So to play them to be better is fools gold, and Ty is a fool. Tank on.

Have you happened to look at Derrick Favors stats for his third year? His stats seem similar to Kanters while playing more minutes.

So you have NOT been watching games.

And BTW, https://www.82games.com/1314/1314UTA.HTM

Kanter doesn't know how to handle a double team, he's not overpowering anyone, he's giving up position in the post and on the glass all over the place. That reflects in how the Jazz play less than how traditional, dumb box scores chart performance.
