Jazz should tank the 2011 season to draft Myck Kabongo

Ok I will admit I'm a big fan of Brad Beal. And since I'm sure you follow recruiting and I know you follow college bball, what are your thoughts on Rodney Purvis? I know it's early in relation to the NBA, but I like him quite a bit too. You should start a college bball thread btw, something to keep us busy.

Yes, Beal is definitely a shooting guard (could he play point? sure, I think so .. but I'd play him at SG). I think he's a whol level above Rivers ... just no one is flashier (a.k.a. ballhog) than Austin.

I like Purvis A LOT. He is fantastic with the ball in his hands, a major creater, major scorer, major slasher. His defense is sub-par at the moment but not worried about that at all with him. His shot is suspect, but his mid-range is money and he's one that I believe will get much better. I'd say by the 2013 draft (or '14 if CBA dictates), he's top 5.

I'm not going to start a cbb thread, I'd love to participate, but I'm kinda tryin' to lay low, lol.

I'm sure once the season starts there will be clear #1 guys. It will probably be one of the PF's.

Right now there's consensus, I believe, at #1 .. I believe that will not change. My point is there's 10 studs that are only slightly different (in talent/skil/upside) from one another. I love these kind of ballers .. freaky long, freakish athletes, and can dribble, shoot, pass, slash, and rebound. Great crop.

I like Beal but isn't he more of a SG. I really think Michael Gilchrist is going to be good.

I hate comparisons, but I think Gilchrist is freakishly similar to Pippen and about the most humble team-first guy you'll ever see.

Gilchrist is a guy who isn't insanely good at anything, but he's the type that wins you a championship. Dead serious when I say that.

Yeah, I'm not sure either. We could sit and figure out what sort of pick it would give us in the 1st round. It's not rocket science, ya know?
