I know the trainer retired, but have there been any coaching defections? Seems like the Jazz have two coaches for every one player. Wouldn't be surprised if Utah now has the largest staff in the league.
They still need Chip Engelland. DL, Snyder and Gobert need to make it happen. Look at the mechanical improvements of Duncan, Parker, Leonard, Ginobili, Green, Diaw, Mills and Belinelli. . . and then consider those levels of improvements for Favors, Exum, Hayward, Burks, Hood, Lyles, Burke and Jingles.
Side Note: It's interesting to me how similar the Jazz have built their roster in terms of guys and the roles they play. Except, that on top of those other players, the Jazz have Rudy Gobert as their future franchise player. Oh, and a crapload of assets to add a star from somewhere else if they choose to. Things are looking bright in Utah.
But Chip Engelland would be well worth whatever the Jazz pay him to pry him from the Spurs. I'd promote him to the bench and make him the highest paid assistant coach in the league.
