Jazz Signs Free Agent Jack Cooley

This is further evidence that the Jazz and DL are being very conscious about managing the culture at both the NBA and the D-League level. They want to be a team that has energy, hustle, and blue collar work ethic. Nice move.

Nobody remembers this guy at ND?
Lol, nobody watches basketball, and yall want to play armchair GM.
Pfft! The audacity!

You really would have had to be obsessed with with basketball to watch those ND teams he was on. They were decent teams, but brutal to watch. It would be like watching Stanford football.

Just a training camp invite right? All those guys get "signed". There will probably be a couple more before camp opens.

Cooley has to be a training camp contract.

Offensively he can be useful but defensive he just doesn't have much of a chance.

Another antagonist for Enes.

Enes had better be in shape and be ready come camp time. Lots of stretch 4 hustle players will be there wanting his minutes.

This signing doesn't make sence? He's an unathletic slow, and undersized pf who likes to bang? Can someone explain this to me?

And it's laughable that some feel Kanter should be scared of This guy as if he is a threat to take minutes from Kanter. Lol

With exclusive relationships between NBA Teams and D-League Teams becoming the norm, we will see more teams signing players for their minor league team for a looksee. No commitment, low cost. See how they work in the Jazz system, and have them available if they need them for spare parts, etc. during the season.

Over the next few years they will begin to look more like minor league teams in baseball. A place to store guys who might have a future, and spare parts as a second bench.

Good, low risk moves.

The Jazz love his toughness and lunchpail style of play. And are intrigued with his expanding range. Has become better shooter since ND days

Jack Cooley - who signed with the Jazz today - is expected to compete for a roster spot, I'm told

If a second-round gaffe is DL's worst mistake, I think Jazz fans will be thrilled. twitter.com/1234bbs/status…

what are the jazz trying to tell kanter?

the sign a bruising pf in booker
the bring in cooley who is also a bruiser

I wonder if kanter will get the message?

Obviously we can't say if this move is to just add depth or do what you've said. If it's the latter, I genuinely hope Snyder truly holds everyone accountable and if Kanter or Favors aren't hustling or setting good picks or doing anything that any player in the league should do, they're benched in favor of Gobert, Booker or this guy. You have to set the tone early as a coach imo. You're not their friends. You're there to teach and coach and such bush league play can not be tolerated any more.

ABSOLUTELY!!!

Do we need wives that are shorter, fatter, less blond, poorer versions of Heidi Klum?

ABSOLUTELY!!!
