Jazz Summer League Info

Stifle Tower

Punch Bowl Re-Filler
Here's the schedule. I can't find a roster yet. Would welcome someone posting if it's available.
The Jazz’s schedule for the Orlando Pro Summer League. All times Mountain:
Monday, July 9 vs. Detroit, 1 p.m.
Tuesday, July 10 vs. Philadelphia, 9 a.m.
Wednesday, July 11 vs. Orlando, 3 p.m.
Thursday, July 12 vs. Indiana, 1 p.m.
Friday, July 13 vs. Oklahoma City, 6 p.m

Of course we know Hayward and Favors won't be playing. Guess it's up to Kanter, Burks and Murphy to show their stuff.

There have been several reports that Blake Ahearn will be on the team.

Crap, I thought Boston played in Orlando, I was looking forward to watching Enes versus Fab Melo and Sullinger.

Enes vs Drummond will have to do.

Maybe OKC will bring that big guy from Kansas that everyone had the Jazz drafting instead of Hayward, that could be a good match-up for the Big Turkey.

I'm somewhat disinterested in seeing whether Enes can handle Cole Aldrich or Melo (he BETTER be able to do that). I would be interested in seeing him play against the craftiness and polish of Sullinger and the length/athleticism of Drummond.

Cole Aldrich, thats the dude. I was hoping that Cole would play because he has been in the league for two years-- that is a vetran for summer league. Enes should overmatch him physically, but Cole should be more experienced.

Hopefully the teams bring all their big guys. Vucivic from Philly, Orton from Orl, Plumlee, Drummond. I want to see Enes play!

How depressing to be playing in Orlando again. Drop the pride, and play in Vegas with real crowds/atmosphere(and a chance for Jazz fans to drive down to see them).

All in all I'm still thrilled for basketball. Can't wait to see more Kanter, Burks, and see the new kid.

And bitterness, I might add.

Too much temptation for the staff and "faithful" fans. As long as the Millers own the team, you'll probably never see the Jazz play in Sodom, I mean Vegas.

I think it's because Philly plays there too. KOC has love for the Philly boys and likes to hang out with his homies.

Yer right, cause look at how turrible it was when BYU played in those Vegas bowls....millers are absolutley motivated to protect their fans, thats also why they won't serve beer at the ESA and have fought to keep the jazz band rather than have a bunch of young ladies dancing around.

NOw that I got my sarcastic rant out of the way. I don't know why the jazz would be reluctant to give a kid a million dollars and then take him to Vegas. Torrey Ellis and pillow forts ought to have taught us something. Tim Donahey ought to have taught the NBA a lesson, but that is a thread of its own.

I was obviously joking.
Jazz have often cited the desire to lessen distractions and that's why they had the RMR and when that folded, opted for Orlando over Vegas.

Oh, well then I obviously over reacted. Let me pull my foot out of my mouth and then I'll put my soap box away.

But ya know I still can't believe the NBA thinks that Vegas is a good idea for a first NBA experience. Maybe they figure it is better to just shove the kids into midst of it, cause it will find the kids anyway.

And the epic Orton versus Enes matchup will have to wait until the regular season.

Evan Dunlap: No, Daniel Orton is not on Orlando's summer squad
