New York is looking to buy some 2nd rounders.

Pertinent to the Jazz:

Financial logic would also dictate that the Knicks might have a shot at buying the No. 55 pick from the Utah Jazz, who must pay a luxury tax bill of nearly $2 million for the 2009-10 season.

Would you feel angry if the Jazz did this? Last year's was wasted on Goran Suton, so why not waste it by getting 1.5 million for it. But on the other hand, the Jazz are known for 2nd round gems.

depends on who's available, last year we should have sold it if we could. I hated the Suton pick, total waste

I don't even get it. Why would a number 55 pick be worth $1.5 million? If you're just lookin for cheapass roster filler, they's gotta be plenty of D-league players better than this year's #55 pick, doncha figure? For that matter, is the #55 pick really worth that much more than the 61st pick?

It's James Dolan.

I can see legit players being available in that range. Particularly Randle, Bjelica, Zoubek, and Landesberg. I hope they don't sell the pick, especially if Randle is still on the board.

Knicks already have #38 and #39 pick. They should get two good prospects out of that. Why waste 1.5 mil on a #55 when they could use it towards FAs.
