Jazz to sign John Lucas III

Does anyone know anything about JLIII's defense?

He's 30 years old, so I'm guessing he's an absolute pylon akin to Uncle Jamaal

But srsly, in the highlight videos I've seen, he doesn't seem DREADFUL. I'm sure he's completely average for a backup

Man, he's got short arms, doesn't he? And did he get any assists in that game or were they just not shown?

I get it though, he is a direct replacement for Demaree Carroll. Not the same position obviously, but a gritty tough player who has fought his way into an NBA roster. It just so happens that we needed a point guard instead of a SF, so we traded in our current 'junkyard dog' for another model. Unfortunately this one is a bit older, but he will serve the same purpose.

i like that lindsey has a plan to tank as hard as possible next season and is not trying to push for some dudes that can prevent this to happen

Go back and look.. it was a joke about Ty liking Lucas' locker room presence... junior high humor.

Haha I still don't see the joke. Guess that's the difference when you're a native speaker ;)

While I was tempted to call you too old for junior high jokes, it struck my mind you prolly have kids that age. But then again the 32.5k posts make a good argument that you don't spend that much time with them! In the end I decided to take the high road and admit my deficiencies.

And I'm still asking why you didn't include Vasilje Micic in your mock draft!

Odd signing. I don't care all that much since it's the 3rd PG, but why not just re-sign Tinsley. Unless they sign him for the 3rd spot.

Agreed. Tinsley already knows the offense, is equally as average a player, and wants to be here.

Lindsay sending a message to Corbin saying ANY guy that he played last year that wasn't part of the young core is gone. You cannot lean on the crutch that is your veteran mantra. Let them play.

We could pay a Jr. Jazz PG to pass the ball to the Center in that case. Think about it, under the table PS3 (or PS4 whenver the contract needs to be signed) and a season pass to Boondock's? Quite the haul for a 9 year old.

Corbin would be tempted tp play tinsley too much

Yup.

Seems like a pretty direct message to Corbin. Gives me confidence that Corbin is gone after this year if he doesnt show some promise.

Alex Kennedy: A return to the Utah Jazz for Jamaal Tinsley is no longer being considered after the team signed John Lucas III, according to a source

Well it looks like Utah is making a completely clean break with the free agents. Not a single one returned.

I still think Tinsley and Carroll should have been signed, but oh well.

Not sure if this has been posted yet:

So pretty much the entire FA class of the Utah Jazz did not come back. That's gotta be a first in NBA history or something.
