Jazz to Sign Neto

I think Neto may be the best distributor of the group. We need a guy to run the system off the bench. I think we trade Burke sooner or later. Cotton will probably stick around. I think Hanlan will be assigned to Idaho. After the Jazz bought the stampede DL was asked about how bad of a team they had been and he said that he would be committed to bringing in talent going forward. I think Hanlan will be the first of many 2nd rounders to develop in Idaho.

I love me some Neto. He is Rudy's friend therefore he must be a jazz man. Plus he is easy on the eyes. He'll be our new kyle korver.

TB is gone. I think this is what DL has been working on but without success. It probably means we will pull a Kanter with TB. The Jazz wouldn't be signing Neto or giving this much opportunity to Cotton if they weren't going to be on the team. And I don't recall Booner or Bolerjack mentioning Trey at all last night, or if they did, not much. I think Burke is on his way out.

Opportunity to Cotton? He is a partially guaranteed player playing in Summer League. He played to end the year because we had no one else and Burke was injured.

Neto is signing now because he just had a down year. He realizes this is probably his last shot to come into the NBA and get in NBA circles.

I don't understand the Neto hate. He's 6'2" with shoes which is adequate for backup NBA PG. He's a pass first PG who actually has a decent shot, just never looks for it and generally does "bail out" shots, so all anybody wants to do is focus on his "terrible" shooting ability. What we need him to be able to do is bring the ball up the court without turning it over, run the pick and roll, and be a decent defender. I think he can do all of that. Pretty sure he can hold his own against any other backup PG in the league. We already have our starter, so let's start looking at him in terms of everybody else's backup.

Look, if he was a phenomenal shooter / scorer then he would not have been avail when the Jazz drafted him. I still think he brings a lot of the table, and I really like the mix of talent Jazz PG lineup has (assuming we trade Burke).

We shall see ... In any event, I sure hope they trade Burke. He is not good for team chemistry.
