Or simply let him expire and have all that cash to spend on a stud FA next year.
Unless we're getting a great player back, I'd rather let him expire...
Or a player on a 1 year deal with tons of upside. Only then do we deal Al.

I'll only say that I like it.
ATL obviously had a dysfunctional culture. I think Josh Smith's attitude 180 can speak to this.
I think a starting job as a dedicated scoring option, where he's no longer reserved for purely garbage buckets and transition scoring, can do a lot for a player of his potential and youth will have an impact on his play.
KOC has had his eye on him since the Deron draft. He's has faith in him. Let's face it, Harris was going no where in Utah. His attitude was poor and he only brought it when the Jazz had a shot at the post season. We now have room to play a PG who has a winning heritage and can shoot.
This is a good gamble with limited risk. It could hurt our cap space next season, but we fill a spot that was occupied by CJ and Howard, both players I'm happy to send packing.
This move has potential. Great move by KOC.
I'm betting Williams shows off a bit more of his potential here. The Hawks were incapable of running their offense through Al Horford as well. They are an iso jump shooting team and that probably hurt his game.

This has crossed my mind, as well. Then again, as long as Al is around, it'll be hard for anyone to show off their potential.
VERY happy to see there is definitely is going to be a shake-up, and I like the move.
However, it does bother me a bit to see Hawks fans acting like they just won the lottery. Nobody should be that happy about aquiring Devin.
