Jazz trade with Knicks

I don't think he has much skill and I don't think he is a good shooter. I will give you hustle and character though...
I really believe in his shot. He has to get more comfortable/fluid/confident, but I think he can be a mid 30s 3pt shooter on good volume.

Not the Knicks trade I was hoping for, and now it feels like a certainty that someone I really wanted will be there at #23 and not #27.

Since I don’t care about Green and think McDaniels makes CJ Miles look like MJ, this is probably a good move. I was actually thinking about this exact maneuver over the last couple of days but it felt really meh.

His FT% concerns me. His feel concerns me. But if he shores those things up and he plays primarily at the 4 I think he could be a really nice rotation piece.

I love this trade if Robert Woodard or Josh Green still ends up on the board at 27.

Also love the 38th pick. That's the prime value spot in this draft IMO. Jazz could get a 1st round talent there. Praying for my guy Jalen Harris.

What are your thoughts on Paul Reed?

Would be a great pick for them.
I agree but its also very Knicks-y... scoring point guard with NY roots. He's talented and a good gamble. I'm just guessing like everyone else doe.

Very possible.

I have a hard time believing Woodard falls to 38 though. I just don't see how teams dont rate him as a 1st rounder with his size and athleticism.
While I see how some are worried about the shot given the volume... it looks really solid. I get that the guy didn't put up huge numbers but I'd be more worried about guys that have the ball in their hands all the time and have to transition to role players in the nba... the Jimmers, Frank Masons and Carsen Edwards of the world.

I think his floor is a better version of Torrey Craig as long as he puts in the hustle.

If he does become mid-30s shooter, his athleticism and developing defense might indeed make him worth a pick in the 20s, but yeah... I guess I am just not that much of a believer in it. His FT% for example is attrocious and FT% is one of the main predictors for 3p% transition to the league.

Nice, getting that extra pick just as we have hoped. We can add two wing prospects instead of one.

Paul Reed and xxxxx? Woodward? Bey? I love it - a huge boost of length, athleticism and wings. Paul Reed could potentially man the defense whenever Gobert sits...fantastic!
