Jazz VS. Celtics: Monday, February 29th, 2016 - Leap Year!

I wonder if there are free throw splits by quarter. To see if Hayward really misses a higher percentage in the 4th or if people only think that because they remember him missing in the 4th and not as much in other quarters.

He is shooting %72.2 in 4th quarters but his %FG and %3FG are up. He is also shooting %100 from free throws during overtime.

You saw the replay -- Rudy was not only grabbed around the shoulder but the Celtic pushed off Rudy's shoulder to propel himself around him to get the ball. It was so blatantly a foul.

I watched it on replay in slow motion.

Gobert first hooked Johnson with the left arm, Rudy grabbed Johnson's jersey, then Johnson retaliated and pushed off. A very bad play by Gobert with lame boxout and lucky he did not get called for the foul.

I really like Locke, but for goodness sake, he has become a whining lunatic.

We've had some bad calls against us on some games, this was not one of us. We got beat. The refs called a good game. Let's get rid of this persecution complex. It is a loser's mentality.

Final note: No shame in coming close on the road against a good Celtics team. Our shooting % sucked. Their defense was great. Might be a correlation from which we can learn.

Thanks for the info!

Said it should have been a double foul

NBA Report: "Gobert (UTA) grabs Johnson's (BOS) jersey, affecting his position for the rebound. Immediately following the jersey grab, Johnson pulls Gobert's left arm during his effort to retrieve the ball."

There was two missed fouls in sequence, so the correct call is the first foul on Gobert.

You would only whistle the second foul on Johnson if you missed the first on Gobert.

I heard on the radio that the nba said it should have been called a double foul.

Your personal interpretation is that it would have been a foul on Rudy.

I have seen double fouls called in the past when the two committed fouls were not simultaneous. (One foul occurred, then the second foul occurred, double foul was called)
