What's new

Jazz vs Lakers | Friday November 26th @ 7:00pm

Al Jefferson has the ability to own Gasol if he puts his mind to it. Gasol is not nearly strong enough to handle him on the block. I'm hoping the Jazz push the ball all night and get into their sets fast, when they do that, they win plain and simple. This game can be a catalyst for the rest of our season if we come out strong and win, my prediction is that is exactly what we do.

They're without Bynum and Ratliff.

So we better not settle for outside jumpers.

That's pretty huge. It is still a tough matchup when they have Gasol and Bynum on the court. Now that they won't have that luxury, we need to keep Gasol off the boards. He always seems to dominate us with inopportune rebounds at crucial moments in the game. If Jefferson can take it at him and get him in foul trouble then we have a really good shot at taking this game. If Gasol dominates the boards it is going to be a long night.

This is a huge game for this team. We have not matched up well with the Lakers the last few years because of our defense. Time for this team to show how much they have improved defensively.

Meh, the Jazz beat the Lakers in Salt Lake more often than not, so it's not that big of a game. 'Twere it in L.A., 'twould be twerrific to win, but it's just a home game, really.

I would like to see if this team has fixed some of the flaws with last years team. Though this is just a regular season home game I think even if they don't win we can see if they have addressed some of the issue's. I have been looking forward to the 1st Laker game since the signing of Bell and Jefferson.

I've been looking forward to the first road Laker game.

I hope the Jazz win but winning this game wont mean much. Jazz need to do this on the road to show they are an improved team. Because mostly likely they wont have homecourt against LA in the playoffs

Home game or not this game is very important for the collective mindset of the Jazz's confidence that they can compete with the top dogs of the league. Especially the team that ousted them from the playoffs last season.

After losing to LA in the playoffs so many times I think we are scared of LA. When the reporter asked D-will about LA after the NO game he seemed nervous before making his joke about not eating too much turkey. I think a win against LA even at home will give D-will and the Jazz more confidence their team is coming together. The win against NO was nice but the clippers did the same thing so don't know how much it means. Losing to LA sucks and I hate Kobe and co. If we lose it is a little bit of a momentum breaker as one of the big questions for this new Jazz team is can we beat the Lakers in a playoff series. Excited for the game!
