Jazz want a proven starting point guard for #3

Rumors were that we looked into trading Milsap for Nash and Lopez. I think we would have to throw in Raja to make it work but I would much rather do that than give up the 3 pick. Nash is old but he would be perfect to develop our players. He could help train a young point guard like Knight or Jimmer. He could help Favors to play pick and roll. If in my perfect world we did this trade then in the draft Williams fell to 3 and we drafted Jimmer at 12 we would have a solid team. Then we could trade harris for a decent wing player. I messed with this in 2k11 and Pacers offered me granger for Harris. I doubt in real life they would do this since they dont need a pg. Anyways our line up was great.

Nash Jimmer
Hayward Miles
Granger Williams
Favors Williams Okur
Jefferson Lopez Okur

Jimmer came off the bench early and hayward handled the ball a lot more and Jimmer played a little pick and roll with Jefferson
Nash played a lot with favors, Lopez and Williams

I would be open to moving Harris for Tony Parker, I wonder if the spurs would bite

Parker is 29. And his contract is 5 years, max I'm assuming? Do we want to take that on? I assume those 5 years can be solid. Parker is a champion I would love to get him. Bell, Harris, S&T Miles for Parker?

I remember hearing the Millsap for Lopez/Pietrus proposal but never heard any Nash deal. I might be willing to trade Millsap for Nash/Lopez. maybe. Nash basically comes in as a tutor to Fredette before he retires, while Lopez is a downgrade from Millsap but at least has size to be a true C. ...But I think the Jazz should retain their #3 pick.

I thought all the extra moves (Indiana) were not worth discussing since it was FANtasy.

Nash Jimmer
Hayward Miles Jimmer
Williams Hayward Miles
Favors Williams Okur
Jefferson Lopez Okur

or

Nash Jimmer
Hayward Miles Jimmer
Miles Hayward
Favors Kanter Okur
Jefferson Lopez Okur

To be honest, there isn't any PG (except Paul, DWill, Rose, Wall) that I'd trade the #3 (Knight) pick for..

Knight's not perfect. But wouldn't you rather have him than Rondo, Curry, Miller, etc?

Are you kidding me? I would easily give up Knight to get Rondo, and probably Curry too..

Trading the #3 pick for a 37-yr old PG whose best years are behind him and who was never a good defensive player to begin with, is a terrible idea. If you are competing for a championship NOW, then maybe. If you want to have a young PG for the next 5 years look at one of the following in no particular order:(not that any of them are readily available to come to the Jazz):
Wall
Westbrook
Rondo
Parker
Rose
Paul
Deron(ha ha)
Tyreke Evans

(Mike Conley and Stuckey would'nt be too bad either.)

Thats about it.

16 and 5 is awful for a point guard?

With a FG% of just under 38 and just over a point per shot for his career? It's not just awful it's ****ing abysmal.

Jennings and Miles would taken turns shooting Utah out of games on almost a daily basis.

Curry?

I think Curry for #3 is one of those trades where Golden State fans look at us at wonder how we could be so clueless and even think they'd be interested. I feel that way about a lot of our proposed trades... even the ones that may seem reasonable to us.

I'm not kidding.

- Rondo - one dimensional. Can't shoot. Can't finish at the rim. Do we need another guard who can't shoot?
- Curry - wayyy too soft for our system. Can you see Curry setting up screens? Having said that I'd take him over Rondo.

I'm not a big fan of Knight - in fact I've been saying we should go with Kanter.

But with Knight's athleticism, shooting, ability to finish at the rim and his willingness to get better and learn?

I'd rather go with Knight.

Hey guys, if we get Nash, maybe we can get Shaq and Malone to come out of retirement. Maybe Horny too? That would be sick. Let's see LeBron and Wade handle Nash, Shaq and Malone with Horny draining threes in their faces. That would be sweet.

I would be pissed if Utah traded for Nash.
