Jazzfanz ALL-TIME Fantasy Draft

Catchall, I can see that you put a lot if strategy into your picks. I appreciate that you took this seriously.

Unfortunately I tink you planned for the wrong teams. Also, I always believe that you draft BPA regardless of position. People my call into question your BPA opinions but everyone has their opinions.

I guess it boils down to this, if you are drafting to compete with other teams then you have already lost.

Blake Griffin a man child. Check him out... In-game 360's.. Trick shots... runs the floor. Plays higher above the rim than anybody. Can put the ball on the floor. Makes everyone around him look pedestrian.

Blake Griffin is the Michael Jordan of Power Forwards.

If we end up getting rid of 4 teams right off the bat, I think we need to have a way of voting where nobody can see the current results before they vote.

I also mentioned this idea a while back in the thread, but what if we had had 3 brackets of 4 teams? Teams can be assigned randomly to the brackets, you go single elimination through the brackets, and then have a round robin finale with the bracket winners. The main reason I like this is that nobody gets a random (and therefore undeserved) bye at any point and every team has at least one head-to-head matchup.

Thanks to Wes, orange, and Whisky for the kind words. My boy's fine .. Broke his arm falling out of a sequoia .. At least he did it in style.

I won't be back on for a while, so please feel free to choose for me if my time comes up.

I would rather have something like this then having four teams automatically dropped.

Why are some of these teams like Numerica and Siromar afraid to put the voting to the public?

It seems they are afraid of how the public will vote against them.

The problem I see with Numberica's team is that he doesn't have another dominate teammate to go along with Duncan.

He is short a Kobe/ LeBron / Durant/ Wade type of player.

Just a bunch of clunky pieces.

Andre Iguadola is the antithesis of clutch. I don't know how he even made it on a team.

I thought about other teams, but had the mentality that you guys need to match up with me. That was a good learning experience. Here's how I would match up with your team. (I'll just do starting 5.)

Wilt guards Sabonis -- Wilt is physically superior to Sabonis and should win this match-up, especially if we can push tempo

KG blankets Barkley -- Barkley struggles against athletic PFs with length. He struggled with Malone and Kemp. He's giving up 7 inches on KG. KG would just shoot over the top of Barkley.

Penny would normally front and chase Jordan -- although Nique and Jordan had some famous match-ups. The Bulls used to put Pippen on Penny to save Jordan's energy and fouls. You have to decide whether Jordan guards Dominique or Penny.

Dominique guards Chris Paul and tries to use his size to cut down CP's vision and passing angles -- Penny will also take this assignment. Question: who is CP going to guard?

Amare guards Mullin and uses his length to disrupt or rush him -- I'd rather see Mullin shoot contested jumpers than see CP or Jordan get in the lane. Next questions: who is Mully going to guard?

We maintain single coverage and just switch on screens designed to shake your perimeter players loose.

On my side, I'm not seeing player who could effectively defend Wilt, Amar'e, KG and whichever backcourt player Jordan doesn't guard. I see 3 or 4 match-ups in my favor. You guys are going to have to hit some tough shots.

Sabonis is also going to have to run faster than he's ever run in his life to keep pace with Wilt, who happens to be a track athlete.
