Smith would jack shots. The opposition would love it if he became the focal point.

Blocks are an over-rated statistic.

What are John Wall's playoff statistics? It's hilarious you'd even try to knock CP3....

This is about conversation.... I'm conversing.

Melo at the 2...... Holy ****ing God, that should disqualify you right there.

Not when you have Slow Joe Johnson guarding him.

Paul folded last year against Mike Conley, I'm just saying.

Ok.

Conley did something so Wall is a lock to do that same thing, damn the evidence.

Ok.

What about everything else I said?

Fast break points. Too much speed. Way. Too much. Nobody focuses on that though.
Josh Smith wouldn't need to be a focal point.

I got Carmelo. Ibaka guarding Melo? I doubt that.

A players worth isn't necessarily tied to his team's success. There are a million examples that can be made where a bad player was on a good team and a good player was on a bad team.

Its a terrible argument to try and use.

Either you can judge a player off his own merits or you can't.

If all you go off is whether or not a player has had success in the playoffs, then you would be a terrible GM or talent scout.

Hey numbnuts, this isn't about being a GM... It's about determining who might win in a 7-game series. Experience in the league, and experience in 7-game series, matters. Look it up.

To say that a player's value isn't related to team success is going too far. I never said they were equivalent to one another, which is what you'd love to make it seem like I said. So I didn't "use" this "terrible argument".

Ibaka and Chandler are so ****ing redundant. The defense would be great, but they'd have a hard time scoring down low which is a recipe for disaster unless you have craaaazy scoring with your wings.

The point of Boozer is to come in and score if The offense is dragging with Ibaka and Chandler. Also don't discount Ibaka's mid range jumper.
"Ibaka ranks No. 1 among power forwards in field-goal percentage at 58.7 percent, a mark that would blow away his previous season-best of 54.3 percent (accomplished in both his first and second seasons)."

I believe if Ibaka had a more passing PG, he'd be known for that shot.

Who is going to score on Weezur's team? Parsons? :)
Not much outside shooting for either team. It's going to be an ugly cluster****y defensive grind
TFP for me despite immaturity.

Outside shooting-
Cp3- 35% 3 pointer, 48% FG
Parsons- 37% 3 pointer, 47% FG
Joe Johnson- 37% 3 pointer, 44% FG

CP3 is a little low, but I imagine that's due to him being a focal point of the enemy's defense.

FP's team has more offense in the front court. I think that's the difference.

Agreed.

But I would take CP3 with Weez's front court VS Wall with FP's front court any day of the week...

CP3 will find ways to get Ibaka & Chandler going offensively. I'm not not sold on Wall........

I hear you, but Josh Smith is >> than Ibaka, and Davis is >>> than Chandler. Melo on a good day is good for 30+ points. This should be a breakout year for Davis.

You've got to take into account experience too though.

CP3 >>>> Wall

Ibaka is battle tested with multiple WCF appearances & a Finals appearance - what has Josh Smith done?

Chandler is a NBA Champ - Davis has potential but we're talking RIGHT NOW.

Boozer's craftiness is going to win out against Faried in a 7 game series too....

Too much playoffs experience on Weezur's side IMO.

Chandler's got a good 3 inches and 20 pounds on Davis. Rebounding will be an advantage for us.
Josh Smith > Ibaka? Potentially...yes, I'll give you that but Smith makes quite a bit of selfish plays. It's why his teams have never gotten anywhere.
The worst part about Josh Smith is how much he thinks of himself as a shooter and specifically a 3 point shooter.
Look at his shot chart- He's not anywhere near a shooter. In fact, more often than not, he's taking a shot below league average.

Let's look at Ibaka here.

Ibaka knows his role on a team.

If we're talking my team in this matchup it'll also be experience, as KKK pointed out.
Factoid:
Did you know that Carmello Anthony has the worst winning % in playoffs out of anyone in history who's played at least 50 playoff games?

EDIT- Too tired to enlarge that pic....
