So this has me all nostalgic for some poker. I'm planning to go to Wendover to play some poker sometime mid-February (for my birthday) and would be down for a get together there.

Yeah, that's as good as I've got. Not planning to host another poker game anytime in the next few years.

My birthday is on Monday, Feb 16th. Kind of an awkward time. Valentines is on that Saturday so it'll probably be a busy weekend. If they have a tournament that is attractive enough, for some odd reason, on Valentine's weekend, I'd get a room and hit it that weekend. If not, I'll probably wait until the next weekend.

I haven't played there in a while so I'd be more than happy to be updated...but, in my past experience, for bigger tournaments and especially ones with larger than normal guaranteed payouts, you have to be playing in a cash game to have a good shot at getting a spot in the tournament. They take registration from seated cash game players first then start putting other people on the list after that.
