What's new

Jazzfanz, I'm sorry!

In all seriousness, please tell me more.

I am a huge root beer fan. Our family does a periodic (read, every 6 months to a year whenever the mood strikes us) root beer taste testing, and I am always looking for a new brew. This one was one of our favorites with a fun name, and I think you can still get it online. Lots of "gournmet" root beers are here today gone tomorrow kind of things. It isn't like a traditional A&W root beer, which is kind of the base idea of what a root beer is, this one has more spice and heavier notes of anise/licorice with a stronger after-taste, although it was plenty sweet, creamy, with a decent frothy head.

There is a web site from a guy that I am reasonably certain went to BYU and he reviews root beer. He and I have different tastes, but I feel I am more into the true sassafrass flavors (or sarsaparilla) which tend to carry with them bitter notes like licorice which I love and he hates, but his site is still a good place to start if you want to try some different kinds of root beer.

One root beer this guy and I agree on is Henry Wienhards root beer, which is one of my favorites.

Funny it gets bad reviews on amazon because they use high fructose corn syrup, like you know 90% of the sodas out there. Still tastes great. Some would even argue that the corn syrup helps with the creaminess.

I travel quite a bit with work so I am always on the lookout for local root beers. Lately it has become a thing for micro-breweries to produce their own home-brewed root beer (non-alcoholic of course) and some of those are interesting, but are then harder to find online so I can order some for a family taste test. I even found a small local brewery in Berlin that had a version of root beer. It was pretty strong and tasted more like beer than root beer, but it was still pretty good.

I could go on about this topic, so I will just stop there.

Hey the people demanded it so I delivered.

More than I can say about your boner.

Or are we still talking about the tic tac from the hospital bills thread? Hmmm.

Are you implying he might enjoy a pair of needle-nose pliers shoved down his pants?

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to moevillini again.
